Really dumb question about audio format

Hey so I just got a ps4 but idk which audio format should I be using... I found many topics on the internet but they are so confusing and my problem is quite simple... my ps4 is Connected to my tv (which has 2 speakers) via HDMI. What's the best audio format for this standard setup? (Bitstream Dolby is much louder than pcm, is this normal?)
