My ps4 has noticeable screen glitches and nothing i download works. Cd downloads or store downloads do not work, they freeze. Netflix is about the only thing that works. This has been for a good 2 months. I've replaced hdd and updated with usb to latest update amd issues stay the same. Has anyone ran into this problem?

Thinking of going digital only...
I am beginning to get sucked in by the minimalist lifestyle and aesthetically, I think game cases on my shelf look ugly. So I’m thinking of going digital only. From what I get, the catches with digital only is that you can’t sell digital games - which isn’t a problem since I always keep my games in case I replay them. Another is that you can’t get games used or that physical games get bigger price drops. But don’t sales make up for the lack of big price slashes? What do you think? Do sales make up for no used games or the lack of lower price drops?
Just curious, is there a statistic on how popular digital sale figures are compared to physical sales on ps4?

So after hearing how terrible 2K18’s micro transactions were, and already owning 2K17, I took the plunge during the EA sale and got Live. I played around with the settings to get something closer to a sim than the default settings aka Arcade mode. So far so good, it’s actually pretty fun and the crowd is lit. Anybody else try it out ? Curious to see what others have to say about it.

CDPR have honestly outdone themselves in so many ways it shouldn't have been possible. The lore, map, gameplay, characters and just this entire game in general is just so fucking good.

Hello anyone who came here. Please post about anything cool or any tips for BL2. I will start by saying today i got a legendary as a world drop from a bandit. It was the exact gun i was farming for, which was an Unkempt Harold.
I never set up 2 step verification, now It's asking me for a code and I'm not receiving anything.
So I tried login in today and I can't get into my account it asks for a code, I never get anything nor did I ever set up anything. I can't even log in on my phone or pc to get back up codes, I can't do anything because it asks me for this code. I checked my email and I did receive a message that said 2 step verification is activated. Wtf is going on? Is there anything I can do to get on? This is super fucking annoying I've been looking forward all week to maybe play 2 hours tonight anything I have to deal with this shit. Beyond annoyed with this, they've made me change my password so many times as if that wasn't annoying enough.

I feel this is overlooked, that FC4 had an excellent story and "villain".
If youve seen both endings, plus the special third one avalible right at the start of your game, you realise that the people you fight for, the golden dawn, were even worse than pagan min. One leader wanted child brides, the other wanted to turn the country into a slavery fueld opium factory.
Pagan may be a bad guy in many ways, but he's the only one that asks nothing of you. If you stay at the start and wait, he does exactly what he promises and helps you lay your mother to rest. And you also find out he really did love your mother and gave you a sister, who was murdered.

So I recently travelled to Thailand and happened to buy Horizon Zero Dawn there. When I came back I saw that the game is gonna release a DLC for it 'Frozen Wilds'. My question is if I live in Israel will I be able to install the DLC even though they were purchased from different regions ? Does the Thailand shop offer Frozen Wilds ? Is this a lost cause ? FPS with a splitscreen campaign
My wife and I had a blast playing through Borderlands, however we're not sure what game to pick up next. It doesn't seem like there are two many options that I have seen. So my question is what is the next best FPS that has a split screen campaign mode? I've found Call of Duty: Black Ops 3, Battle born, and Star wars Battlefield, but I wasn't sure if any of those would be worthwhile?
I need help with a game getting corrupted repeatedly even after redownloading
More specifically the game dying light, getting corrupted twice in the span of 2 days. And everytime it does my console freezes up and will not turn off unless I unplug it.
PS4 has problems with EVERY controller
So my PS4 has this problem while playing any game including on the dashboard, if its less than 1 foot from the system it disconnects automatically or will move and turn by itself before it disconnects with every controller in my house that work fine with my father and sisters console.

PS4 Controllers charging issue
Both of my DS4 controllers have gone to shit recently so I wanted to see if I could fix it rather than buy new ones.
Controller 1
Controller only works when plugged in and refuses to retain any charge despite the charging light displaying when plugged in. I assumed that this was down to the battery dying so I planned to replace it.
Controller 2
Controller can hold a charge (which indicated to me that the battery was fine) but only when the charging cord is bent into an awkward position which makes charging almost impossible unless I hold it. I assumed this was down to a damaged charging port.
Attempted solution
I figured that the best thing to do was to at least salvage one controller by taking the working battery from controller 2 and placing it into controller 1. I also placed the battery from controller 1 into 2 because why not? Nothing changed, controller 1 still only works when plugged in and to my surprise controller 2 still charges with a battery I thought was dead, of course I still need to bend the cord though.
Both batteries appear to be fine to me so can anyone identify the problem from this, otherwise I'm buying 2 new controllers :(

My PS4 doesn't seem to recognize my Blue Yeti when plugging it in, is there some kind of setting I need to enable for it to be compatible? It seems like all the YouTube videos just show it being plugged in and working, it's frustrating that mine doesn't do that
Ejecting disc each time
This might sound like a dumb question but I’ll ask just to make sure.
Due to living conditions I have to move my PS4 each time I want to set it up to play. I just wanted to ask if it was okay to remove and insert the discs each time I wanted to play a game? Just want to make sure this wouldn’t cause a problem on the PS4 and wouldn’t tire out the disc reader or anything. Thanks for the help!
Trying to connect a brand new DS4 to my PC, but by default it connects as a headphone device
I just bought a brand new controller for use on my PC, downloaded DS4Windows, and plugged it in. I wasn't sure why it wouldn't show up on DS4W, but as I looked through my devices it turns out it's connecting as a USB headset.
I've tried everything, resetting the controller, trying bluetooth, uninstalling and reinstalling drivers, disabling drivers, rebooting, etc. but no matter what I can't get DS4W to recognize it. In the device section of Control Panel it shows up as "Wireless Controller", and if I go into the properties to test it all the button inputs work there.
Any help would be appreciated, I've been trying to get this to work for 3 hours straight.
My ps4 wont manually accept discs
2 years ago my ps4 stopped accepting discs automatically so I had to manually put them by turning the screw on the side. Now the when I screw them in the ps4 wont accept the disc. When you screw in games you keep screwing until it gets tight but now the screw never gets tight and I can endlessly keep screwing with the game inside but the ps4 won't read it.
Is the price difference justifiable for the platinum PS4 headset compared to the gold headset?

I say "exclusive games only" because I own an Xbox One and I'll be buying multiplatform games and MP Games for that system because that's where my friends play.
The games I'll be getting when I make my purchase will be Bloodborne, Nioh, Final Fantasy X-X2, Hellblade, and Persona 5. I play mostly any game and I'm a big fan of JRPG's.

Ps4 never reboots after an update. Gives issues/errors.
So everytime I update my 4 months old ps4 pro trough a system update and after it's shutting down automatically and should reboot. It just doesn't reboot. So I manually boot it up afterwards but this gives errors and even says that database needs to rebuild. Today it even gave me an error su-30746-0 that I luckily could bypass by directly connecting the controller. After that the update seems to have installed fine.
But this happen with every single system update. Is there a guaranteed way to fix this?
What happened to my Twitch broadcast?
Last night, I started Uncharted 4 for the first time. It was great, and I played up until after the opening credits scene (which is a ways into it). I had started broadcasting on Twitch when I loaded the game, and I even saw the notification that I had a viewer pop in. I typically like to stream my gameplay so I can export from Twitch to YouTube and have my gaming archived.
After the opening credits portion, I hit Stop Broadcasting, then put the PS4 into Rest Mode and went to bed. This morning, I popped on my PC and went to Twitch to export my gameplay to YouTube... only to not see it there at all. It showed my last game (Inside).
Anyone know what happened? I mean, something streamed last night, but it's not showing on Twitch nor even in the Capture Gallery of my PS4. Where did it go? And, even more importantly, how do I ensure this doesn't happen for future gameplay?
Logitech g430 headset not working with PS4 Slim
Hi, so I recently bought a Logitech g430 headset and it doesn't work with my PS4 Slim. I tried plugging both cords into my controller, and plugging it into the USB port on the console, but nothing. I don't even get sound out of it. But I'm a bit confused because if I go to sound and devices the PS4 registers the name of the headset I'm using. I updated the firmware of the headset, and I have my sound audio set to all.
Not sure what to do at this point. I've seen a few YouTube videos of people using this headset and it works fine.
Dualshock 4 has no charging bars when plugged in so I can't see if it's charging or not. Help?

While for second hand CEX is great, for new titles Amazon's £2 discount is quite poor and I have never, ever, ever recieved the game on release day. So I recently picked up Nier: Automata. Color me impressed.
I just picked up Nier: Automata recently on sale for $22 and I must say that it always has me coming back for more. Especially now that I'm starting to navigate my way into plug-in chips its opened up more for me. Also, One of the aspects that I just recently learned that really entices me is the fact that there are, apparently, 26 different endings to achieve. My very first ending I came upon by accident had me cracking up (to avoid spoilers, it was ending K, 😂😂)
Minor spoilers?? ahead The story really has me wanting to come back, wanting to unravel it more and more... Trying to figure out how exactly this setting came to be, how the machines are becoming sentient, who should I truly trust? And the character growth 2B seems to be going through due to the external influences around her. It's amazing.
The other thing I love about this game is how the game changes the point of view in different areas... Straight from the get-go, it switched up on me 3-4x... Kinda blew me away because I literally went into this game Completely blind not knowing this fact... It really spices things up for me.
Oh, and 2B is one bad Mamma Jamma.

Why I think we might get a Bloodborne 2 reveal on Monday
It seems to me that that the timing of Paris Games Week in relation to the Xbox One X release is a perfect opportunity for Sony to throw cold water on Microsoft right before a console launch. I feel like the best way to present your console as a superior option is to present exclusive titles. The timing just feels right for a Bloodborne 2 reveal. I know many are speculating that it could be revealed at PlayStation Experience in December, but Bloodborne 2 is arguably Sony’s best way to create a stir right now, so strategically, it makes more sense to do it Monday. This is definitely wishful thinking on my part but I’m planting a flag now, we will see Bloodborne 2 on Monday.

PS4 losing connection once any app is open
Has anyone ever experienced a PS4 becoming non-responsive once an app is open? PS4 works completely fine in the home menu and let's me open an application or game from the menu, however once I get into the game/app the control becomes completely unresponsive, the only thing that is responsive is the home button. I've even tried to connect a different controller which has been unsuccessful, even when wired because of this I don't believe it's a WiFi issue.
Any help, suggestions or advice would be appreciated greatly.
Ps4 slim headsets, with no optical port should I give up on surround sound?
Scooping up a slim soon and was surprised to see they have removed the optical. Is it more trouble than it's worth to purchase additional adapters to keep up with surround sound? Should I just go stereo?

And the reason why I can't access said DLC is because apparently my physical copy is R2. This broke my heart. This is something that came to mind after all the attention around the Assassin’s Creed series recently.
I loved the trilogy of games released on PS2, with Sands of Time being one of my favourite games ever. There was one other title released in 2008 too, but it was a big step down from the other three.

I had to travel to another country for a surgery, and I had to stay in a hotel for some days to recover from it.
I tried the PS4 Remote Play before, with myWiFi, when my wife was watching TV, and I was already amazed at it.
I understood that it also works through the internet, and i tried with my phone’s 4G as hotspot. Impressive.
I left my PS4 on at home, and I brought my laptop with me, along with my PS4 controller. I was still skeptic that would work on a hotel wifi, but it turns out, hotel wifi is good and stable, and it works flawlessly.
So now I am in convalescence, playing Far Cry 4 and Metro Redux remotely, and I am still amazed how useful this app is to me in this situation, and Sony didn’t even had to make it.
I just had to vent this, not all venting is because of bad experiences, I am having the greatest one from a So y free app, and I hope the Sony exec that decided to create the PS4 Remote Play app reads this.

I'm from Singapore and I'm going on exchange to Canada, and I plan to bring my PS4 along. I have a PSN subscription and plan to buy a handful of games (in Singapore) before I head over so I have something to occupy me on cold winter nights. This is where I'm a little confused -
1) If I want to play online in Canada, will the fact that my account and PSN subscription are 'Singaporean' make a difference?
2) Will I even be able to play online overseas?
3) If I buy a game in Canada, will I be able to play it online in Canada with my current PSN account?
4) If I buy a game in Canda, will I be able to play it online back in Singapore with my current PSN account?

When do you use Spotify on your PS4?
I really appreciate that Spotify works in such a seamless way while using the PS4! But to be honest, although I'd love to, I just can't use it while playing any games, it always gets in the way of something: if I'm playing multiplayer it keeps me from properly listening to important stuff such as footsteps;
If I'm playing single player it is also not a good idea, since those games usually have a soundtrack that was planned to be listened to while playing the game, so I wouldn't want my own songs to get in the way of that experience.
So with that in mind, how is it for you? Do you listen to Spotify while gaming on the PS4? If yes with which kinds of games?
Hidden Agenda - Few Reviews / Long Runtime
So I had fun with a few different groups of friends playing That's You over the last month and thought I'd get Hidden Agenda (the next Playlink game).
I played it tonight for the first time, Story Mode with a group and didn't realize how long it was, and therefore how ill-suited to parties it really is. That's You! is about 20 minutes to play a game. We played for two hours and our protagonist died suddenly when we went from a very slow scene to a "reflex check" all of a sudden and no one was expecting it. Cut to credits. If That's You was a 9 for having friends over, this game is a 2 or 3. And I cant find reviews of it anywhere other than Polygon!
5.01 Update broke my Headset
after updating to 5.01 my Turtle Beach Earforce PX4 stopped working with the Ps4(also tried all 3 usb ports didnt help). Hopefully the next "Stability" Update will come soon so then i can use my headset again.

Personally, I don't like the idea of it turning to open world.
However, I can't bring myself to say it will be bad with the addition of the Day/Night, Weather Cycles, and a continuously updating map.
On the other hand, it looks like characters are locked to specific areas on the map anyways, so why bother? And the sub-missions do not sound very appealing.
Is all of the additional mechanics worth having to manually walk from mission to mission?

Hi, I was wondering is there a way to hide your gamertag/ online id from a stream. I am using elgato at the moment.
So...how to tell what disc is in the PS4?
Dumb question, but it never occurred to me until today. For the first time in a long while, I have quite a few games installed on my PS4. But I don't know which disc is currently in the console. So, other than:
a) literally trying to start every game
b) ejecting the disc
Is there a convenient way for me to know what disc is in the PS4?

Assassins Creed Origins, PS4 Desync Crash

Ps4 and other devices wont connect or even "see" my Comcast modem. Any help
So I've had my PS4 for close to 2 years now and have Comcast internet for the entire time. When I first purchased my PS4 I lived alone and had Comcast. Then I moved in with some friends who already had Comcast and everything worked fine. I recently moved in with my girlfriend and again became a customer with Comcast. For about the first 2 weeks all our devices connected fine. Then we had a night of bad storms and our power was out for a good 12 hours and since then some of our devices connect perfectly fine; my laptop, my girlfriends phone. And some don't like my PS4, my phone and we have a firestick that picks up the signal randomly. I'm not to concerned with my phone or even the firestick but the PS4 is a must. I've reset the modem several times on my own with no luck. I've called Comcast and they have reset it twice. The first reset they did didn't work but the second did. My phone and PS4 connected fine after that but disconnected after about an hour of the reset. The router is to far away for me to direct connect them. So my question I guess would be is this a Comcast modem problem from the power outage or do I just need to setup a manual wifi connect with a specific IP address? And if that's the case how do I find the IP address I need to assign to my PS4? Or am I way off on all of this haha. Any help at all would be fantastic because I'm getting a little anxious not being able to play my online games or watch Netflix ha

Using internal hard drive (with enclosure) as extended storage?
Hey guys, I am trying to use an internal hard drive with a USB enclosure as an extended storage drive but I get this error:
Cannot format this USB storage device as extended storage. A USB storage device that meets the following conditions must be used. (CE-41902-6)
• USB 3.0 or later • 250 GB minimum, 8TB maximum capacity • Directly connected to the PS4
I’m pretty sure all these requirements are met. The only thing I can think of is that it doesn’t see the drive as a USB 3.0 device. Is there anything I can do to get this to work?
Help - Strange DS4 Disconnects
I have a very strange pattern of disconnects on my DS4 controller. If my controller is plugged in while fully charged, it will start randomly disconnecting. I don't know why this happens, and as soon as I unplug it, the disconnects stop. It also has never happened to me while the controller is plugged in but not yet fully charged.
Is there anything I can do to fix this? I always unplug it as soon as the first disconnect shows up or I notice it's fully charged, but that's not always possible if I'm in the middle of playing a game I can't pause or paying too much attention to notice it's fully charged.

I preordered SWBF2 deluxe edition a couple mins ago and it’s my first time pre ordering in PSN and added money to my wallet but it didn’t take the money from my wallet. Is that normal? My question is when will the money from my wallet be taken away to confirm the purchase and will the game just download by itself when the timer ends?

Tritton Kunai headset problem

I was playing warframe and then suddenly I was not able to hear the party chat, I was wiggling around the cable unplugging, turning off ps4 etc and after I turned my ps4 back on I could only hear my theme’s music in not so good quality, I was also not able to hear the keynotes when you move around in the home menu. When I joined my friends party I still was not able to hear anyone unless I changed the chat to party chat (which I do not want)

My PS4 wasn't working. When I tried to close an application it stayed on that screen for over a minute and I just hit back. When I tried to start a game the screen froze and stayed like that. I've recently bought a PS4 Pro from Very.co.uk and I'm having all sorts of faults/connection issues happening.

Deepcolor 2160p 60hz is enabled, latest firmware on TV and PS4.
Issue #1 Turning on the PS4 Pro there is no connection/ the screen completely turns static blinking on and off with green and pink colors at times.
(This is resolved by turning the tv off and back on again via the remote)
Issue #2
When the tv is turned on the PS4 image completely shakes but does not affect the LG overlay.

This game came out on Tuesday and I haven't seen anyone talking about it. It's by Supermassive Games, the developers of Until Dawn and it's on the PS Store for $20. It's a bit gimmicky because it requires a smartphone but it has similar gameplay found in Until Dawn.
Has anyone played this? I'm on the fence myself but I'm curious to know what people's thoughts are.

Wolfenstein 2 has no HDR support on ps pro (will have on xb1x)
just thought i'd let others know as this was very disappointing for me, like other Bethesda games the pro support is lackluster - they confirmed xb1x will get 4k/HDR but never said anything about the pro
all i can really say is that there is no HDR support (Doesn't send an hdr signal) and the image is pretty soft. if anyone was expecting HDR because they have listed it for the xb1x then you should adjust your expectations

Swapping between apps with double tap no longer works?
Hello. The exact words are hard to find and have not yeiled a result from Google. You used to be able to double tap the main home/ps button twice and swap between a game and an app - YouTube for example. Can anyone clarify if this still works as for me the double tap will only ever show the TV screen with the horizontal row of tv apps and suggested content below. I can no longer go straight from YouTube back and forth to a game.
Is there a hidden setting? Do you also experience this? Wondering if this is post the update earlier this year which made the video apps appear in 1 folder.

I already have Borderlands, Diablo III, Dead Island (ps: what a shitty remaster), Fornite (fck fornite, fck epic games), Alienation and Killing Floor 2, so.
I already thought about Destiny and/or Trine and we don't know if we should buy them.

My PS4 is acting weird
I've had my PS4 since the launch in November 2013. For the past month or so, I haven't really used my PS4 since I bought a gaming PC. However I have booted up my PS4 frequently.
Now, when I boot my PS4 up, like every time I get "Checking the system storage status.. Do not turn off the PS4" then I get an error CANNOT START THE PS4 please plugin DS4 and connect an usb device with firmware 5.0 atleast. Then, my PS4 restarts and works as normally? Why does it do this?
And now I am downloading System Software Versino 5.01 and it doesn't download at all. It says 721kb, then 263kb/374,7 MB of downloaded. It isn't downloading at all. Some download numbers if it showing but the download process itself isn't progressing anywhere??
Is my PS4 about to get broken, is it my Seagate SSHD or is it something else?

1080p ps4 pro games on a 4k tv?
I am looking at getting a 4k monitor for my pro, and i was wondering if i played the majority of my games in 4k but turn it down to 1080p boost mode for rainbow six siege, does 1080p look worse on a 4k monitor than a 1080p monitor?
I understand that it puts 4 4k pixels together per 1080 pixel, but is this really noticeable? Id rather have locked 60 fps on siege than 4k. If its relevant im looking at a 28 inch monitor that i would be about a metre from.

Anyone got a fix for a PS4 problem I have ? (HDMI/TV related)
So I've been having a problem with my PS4 ever since I got it. So when playing on my PS4 I like to sometimes switch back to cable (TV) to watch some shows so I change my input on my TV from "HDMI1" to "cable" and watch my shows. The problem is when I switch back to "HDMI1" I am met with a black screen and the only fix is to either unplug and replug in my HDMI cord (which is a hassle for the setup I have) or restart the console completely which is also a bit of a hassle. Is there any way to fix this problem? Is it my PS4? My TV? or just a problem Sony hasn't yet fixed yet?

What current generation racing game will give me an experience closest to GT3 or GT4?
Hi all, I was really excited to jump back into a sim racer for the first time in a while. I have really enjoyed Gran Turismo games of the past. I did some reading on Sport and am a little hesitant to pick it up, as it seems it has no career mode. I really liked the car customization, grinding up from a Miata, and wide variety of vehicles that the old GTs offered. Any advice on what current generation racing game will give me an experience closest to what I'm looking for?
PSA: There is no option to lower the resolution for AC Origins on PS4
Therefore you are stuck with 4k output (not native I know) and a lower framerate. Where as the base ps4 has lower resolution but a steady 30 fps. Sucks even more if you have a Pro and 1080p tv.

Old Data in Old Internal Hard drive
A year ago I swapped out my 500GB hard drive for a 2TB hard drive on the original ps4 model. But there is some old data in my 500GB hard drive that I want to recover. I already have a lot of data on the 2TB hard drive and I heard online that once you remove a hard drive from a ps4, everything in the hardrive will be deleted. I want to know if this is true. Can I swap my hard drive and recover stuff from my old one or is everything from my old hard drive gone?
In need of a Racing game, help...
My plan is to purchase a nice racing title for this weekend. Gran Turismo sparked the interest, but I don't know what game is right for me.
My favorite racing game of all time is Midnight Club, I wish there was a port or remaster. I've tried Need For Speed 2015 and didn't hate it. I just downloaded The Crew demo, it reminded me a little of Midnight Club. I don't think it was particularly a good demo however, they start you off in the mud with a Ford Raptor.
I'm less interested in Gran Turismo because I think it revolves too much around being a SIM for me. I wan't to cruise streets, build my garage, race when I want to, take police on chases when I want to.

When it comes to your games, do you prefer to buy them outright, or do you rent them and then return them? I usually buy whatever I think I will play for awhile, but games that I think I will only play through once I try and wait for a rent--gamefly is always sending me 1$ month offers. I'm just curious if people feel its better to own them, or rent them and not be stuck if you end up not liking the game?
Bluetooth keyboard 3.0 pairs fine with PS4, but fails to reconnect after disconnecting.
Simply put: I bought a bluetooth keyboard to chat faster ingame > paired it just fine with ps4 > tested it, all fine > switched it off > Switched it on > No connection?
It's still showing in setup, but connection is not made for some reason. I tried the keyboard on my phone, but no issues with automatically reconnecting there...
Anyone have an idea what to try? Right now I constantly have to delete the keyboard from the setup and pair it again to be able to use it.

Hey folks, I'm new to the PS4 and console gaming in general as I used to be a PC main. On PC my aim is decent and I'm well capable of playing fast paced shooters without any issues, however on console I can't get used to aiming with analog sticks as of yet. Help Please! Assassin's Creed: Origins Crashed So Hard It Crashed My PS4!
Hey folks, I'm hoping someone here can help me! I began playing Assassin's Creed: Origins as soon as my PS4 download finished a few hours ago. I got in about an hour of playing before I got desynchronized in a fight and the game crashed. It crashed so hard that I had to turn off my PS4 and when I turned it back on it started running in safe mode. It tries to check the system storage status but never gets passed 32% and then asks for the 5.01 system update. I downloaded the update through safe mode but that didn't work, and any attempts at updating via USB are unsuccessful (error code CE-34788-0). I'm positive I'm doing it correctly because I just did it two months ago when I put in the current hard drive. I really hope the hard drive isn't screwed, because, like I said, it's only been used for two months. Can anyone help me out? I would really prefer not to have to re-initialize the system and DL everything again.

I know question like this have been asked before. But I feel like getting an answer that’s a little more in depth with exactly what I’m asking.
Anyway, No I don’t have a 4K tv. Although I plan on getting one soon. I do have money for the pro. But I’m not full sure if I want it.
See I have this ocd. Where I feel like I won’t fully enjoy the call of duty unless I get the newest version of the ps4.
So how how exactly would it change the way I play? The resolution would be better but would it run better? Almost the home screen of the ps4 lags sometimes. Would that run better as well?
And for fallout 4. Sometimes the game likes to lag a little bit. Especially in the city areas. How does that improve with the new ps4?
And yes I have disposable money for the pro. And I can still trade in my old ps4 as well. I just can’t decide if if laying $300 for this upgrade will really feel like an upgrade.

This may be a noob question, but how exactly do i increase the storage of my ps4, it's storage atm is around 400 gb as the other 100 gb is used up for processes of the ps4. Can i add an external hard drive or do i need to manually install a new one.

So, how does 'having my city in a game' feel like?
Sometimes I would imagine what my city would be like if it were used as a setting in a game, especially in a post-apocalyptic game like The Last of Us.
Yeah, giving an imaginary touch to a real city is nice. But, in games like Infamous: Second Son, Watch Dog 1&2, and etc that try to keep the settings as real as possible, how do you feel when playing a game that features your real city?

How is Nier: Automata on PS4 Pro now?
I got it on launch on the games graphics were horrible. Low textures, bad antialiasing and a lot of stuttering. I want to get back into the game but I can't get over those problems. Also the side quests were pretty mediocre and the map pretty empty.

Need some help with my Astro A50 Gen 3 + Base station.
So i just got them today and whatever I do it wont pair with the base station. I've tried leaving them on the base station for a few hrs, tried charging directly with a micro usb and no luck. Reseated it a million times by now so theres no way its just not connecting to the charging contacts.

I am looking into buying a ps4 pro. I know most pro enhanced game render the game in 1440P and use dynamic resolution. I am ok with that, but does the ui element actually render in 4k so the text and menu are crispy clear? I am buying to play ps4 exclusive game only btw.

Nights of Azure 2: A disappointing sequel.
Never before have I seen a game so completely spoil the promise of it's predeccesor.
Nights of Azure was a gothic fairytale with sets ripped from an opera and game-play similar to PS2 era Castlevania.
Where do I begin?
Where the first game centered on the tragic love-story of a Saint set to be sacrificed and the lady-knight sent to lead her to her death on a sacred alter, the new game has become some strange harem that fails to sell the drama or the fanservice.
The summoning system and demonic transformations--gone.
Artfully-framed boss battles with memorable music? Replaced by a series of find the gimmick bosses.
What is a possessed floating fish named Joe even doing in a warehouse of oil barrels? Why is a woman fighting me to "save her friend from me" by trying to kill the friend, my party member? Why have all the servants suddenly changed from possessed toys and statues to actual beasts? Why does the party member who is coming with me wishing me good luck as I leave the hotel? The attention to detail that made the original a low-budget, highly stylized product is gone.
How come the blue-blood monsters that once shared the world with humans in the first game suddenly drove them out of the capital a few hundred years later int he second game?
The basement challenge dungeon? Gone and replaced by a swimming pool. Who needs gameplay when you can have low-resolution swimsuits?
And by bringing back a certain person mid-game, it invalidates nearly every one of the old game's endings.
I'm thoroughly disappointed. I would have been fine if the game went a different direction. In fact, treating the new heroine as a much weaker half-demon who must rely on friends and combos instead of summoning Balrogs with death-lasers and transforming into an invincible tank for 45 seconds at a time should have made for a very interesting second game.
It's just the execution of it all that sucks. The parry system, basic before, is gone. Any sense of tactics to the battles is gone. And the timer on boss battles means you can often lose to them simply by time-out, a lame gimmick to drag the game on.
Same with the larger cast. The potential dynamics, with a Frankenstein-esque demon researcher, opposing knightly orders, and an abandoned Church capital were great. It's a shame they aren't followed up on.
Any other Witcher 3 players experiencing frequent crashes?
Hello, I got my PS4 pro quite recently, and the first game I played was Witcher 3, a game I always wanted to play. The game it self is great, but it is crashing quite frequently, once or twice per day at least, and it is really discouraging for me, usually when it crashes I stop playing as I will have to repeat 4/5 mins of game play. Is this a common issue? Because I am not experiencing such issue with other games I play.

... Did I miss something? This was the game that so many review sites gave 10/10s and 9/10s to? I finished this thing in like an hour over 2 sessions. It was pretty, but I wouldn't say it was exactly "fun".
For the record, I played and loved Flower. Why didn't this one make me feel anything?

I cannot hear chat or game sound, Ive checked all of my game settings, turned off the system, I’ve messed around with the volume button, and with the additional sound/chat buttons. I have had to resort to using regular ear buds and would love to go back to my headset I bought only 3 months ago!
Using the Media Player as a Photo Slide Show Issue
I went on a 6 week trip to Europe and I'm going to have family over on Sunday to show the pictures. I plan on doing this on the living room TV so everyone can see.
So, I put all the pictures on a thumb drive and when I try to view them on the PS4 media player it will show veticle photos sideways and even some horizontal photos upside down. When I go to the Windows (PC) file preview it seems smart enough to arrange all the photos in the correct side up. I tried to google how to fix this but I thought I could ask the PS4 sub reddit for help. I know you can flip them the right orientation as the photos come up during the slide show, but I just know that my mom and mother in law will feel a little nauseated watching us do that.
So, is there a way to fix this? Is this in the PC side? Do I have to do this in Windows?

Can I download and install patches one by one?
Let me explain,
Basically I bought a "old game" which is (wwe 2k17) and I wanted to play mycareer mode however when I finished my first match and proceeded to do a promo l, I got a error message called CE-34878 and I had this message before however I "then" all I did was restart my PS4 and it worked but now I tried to do that like 30 times, it's also been 3 days since I got the game and nothing changed. I looked up on how to resolve it and people were saying to patch the game, and now this is my problem. My wifi does not have ps4's security settings (or something like that) therefore it doesn't not connect and since the patch is 20gb there is literally no other way for me to download it other than using my mobile data, I get 10 gb monthly however this month I used 3 gb already so I only downloaded 17gb and have 2gb left to download. The problem is that now I have to wait till December for my 10 gb monthly plan to renew and I do not want to wait that long so is there anyway that I can install the first patch that I downloaded which was the 11gb of the patch. My wwe 2k17 is now on patch 1.00 and I heard that in 1.01 the crashing error is fixed and since I've already downloaded the size of the 1.01 patch, is there anyway to install it to my wwe 2k17? If there isn't I would definitely apprieciate if you could help me out with the crash with a different way, Thanks.

Should I play wolfenstein old blood before the new order?
I’ve got all three games. I’ve already completed old blood and the new order when they were released.
I’ve got wolfenstein 2 and I want to start from the beginning again.
I can’t decide whether I should play old blood first and then start new order, or start with new order first and then old blood. I can’t wait to pay Number 2 but i want it to flow properly.

Uncharted PS4 Bundle Defective, Past Warranty, Solutions?
I purchased this PS4 last year when it came out, within several weeks it began a loop where it would check system status, stop halfway, and request going into Safe Mode to continue. This would require me to initialize the system to factory settings, lose all the data, and have to reinstall everything.
I sent it in for repairs through the warranty, and received the system back initialized and rebooted, much in the same fashion I could have done myself.
The system continued to repeat this problem whenever system updates were released, and I have had to initialize and reinstall the system information many times.
The system is now out of warranty, and Playstation expects a $100 payment to temporarily repair the system again, until they release another update 91 days after the repair so it is out of the warranty again.
Does anyone else have this system, and went through similar issues? Is there a physical repair I or a local repair shop could perform to rid me of this issue? Thanks.

In rest mode, auto-downloads don't work on extended storage. "Supply Power to USB Ports" set for three hours, "Stay Connected to the Internet" is also enabled. Are there any tips and tricks? Am I doing something wrong? Please, enlighten me!
MotoGP14 is too hard on Easy
How do you play this game? I come in dead last in every race. I've never played a MotoGP game before so I had no idea what to expect.
The settings don't seem to matter and the AI is impossible even on Easy. It looks like I have to make every turn perfectly and drive as fast as possible, but I can't do either without falling off the bike.
I mean, I know I'm inexperienced but the steering and brakes are so sensitive and I can't get anything precise enough to make it work.

Hello, I'm looking for a new game to play but I'm torn between these two. I've been wanting to play them for quite a while and I think the time has come so I want your personal opinions or recommendations about them.
I'm somewhat of a "completionist" because I like playing a game until there's no more story, grind or just fun things to do and that's the main reason why I only play one triple A game every few months (I mostly play indie games and MOBAS as I find them more enjoyable for the amount of time they consume) and I'm not sure the amount of content these two tittles currently have but I certainly want to give any of them a try.
If I preorder a game can I download it beforehand so I can play it right away?
Also does it make a difference if I preorder it through the PS store or somewhere like GameStop?

Download Speed Help
I tried using the proxy method found on this sub, but it didn't work. I have a download speed of 25 Mbps from my router, and after passing through all the walls to get to my room with my computer and PS4 it's closer to 15-20 Mbps. My PS4 is only getting around 20 Kbps on average, and even with the proxy set up it's still only getting that much. It's so slow to the point that it gives up after trying to download a 300 mb system update.
Please help.

Question on downloading speed of updates
So I have 68.8 mbps download speed according to the network test on my ps4 but a 2gb patch takes 40+ min. Does anyone know why it takes so long or am I seeing it wrong? I've tried pausing the download but it only has increased the time.

Why are my downloads so slow?
I'm downloading the Fortnite update file right now. It's not that large, just 2.6 GB. I've got Google Fiber and my download/upload is 109/166 currently.
I'm at 1.575/2.646 on my download and it says 27 minutes left. It's probably been a good 20 minutes since I started it, too.
Is there something that could be slowing down my download on my PS4?
I called Gamestop and asked some questions regarding returning games purchased at the store/online, and was told that they cannot take RETURNS in sealed packaging. I thought this only applies to trades? Why would they accept a return of a brand new, opened game, but not unopened?
Is he telling me the truth? Basically I want to pick up Wolfenstein tonight, but have it preordered and shipping to me. But I want to get it tonight and just return the copy that comes in the mail using the receipt I get from my purchase tonight.
I’ve done this in the past at other retailers. In fact I’ve had retailers not accept returns because the product was open. Maybe I’m misremembering? It’s been awhile since I’ve done such a stunt, for lack of a better word, with a retailer.

So I read about this already and people say that to fix this you need to delete all your games and sort of reset your PS4. Now my internet sucks. Like sucks a lot. Downloading the Asassins's Creed:Origins launch update which is 1,3GB took me about 6-8 hours. So my question is if there is any other way to fix this?
dualshock 4 battery problem
one of my dualshock 4 doenst charge, its completely dead and the other one charges but the moment that i unplug it goes off. last month decided to charge it with a old samsung phone charger and it worked for some days and then i bought a charging station and i could charge one of them for some days but then the same thing kept happening . do i have to replace the batteries or buy new controllers?

I've been trying to solve this error code for the past few days with no prevail. These are the things I've tried so far that others users have posted:
1). Delete all notifications in the "Upload" screen
2). Sign-out of youtube on PS4, reset PS4, sign back into youtube
3). Try to upload using the SHAREfactory app
4). Delete videos on upload section on youtube on computer
I've tried all of these and I STILL get the error message about 5 seconds after I try to upload the video to my youtube account.
If anyone has a way to fix this, it would be much appreciated!!

I own a PS4 and a PS+ subscription. I was wondering, if I play a game on my console (primary) and then log onto my girlfriend's PS4, log into my account, will I be able to continue a game where I left it at on my console ? Can I do it through the cloud ?
Also, would I need to carry the disk of the game with me in order to play it ?

In essence, Assassin's Creed Origins is much the same game as the original Assassin's Creed, which came out a decade ago. It's a formula that people like to play, and it's certainly been honed and improved over the years. Origins is, then, undoubtedly the best iteration of this formula yet. But I yearn for a fresh approach and new ideas, something that astounds the senses as much as the wondrous world this game inhabits.

I fell out of love with Assassin's Creed a long time ago, but Origins has recaptured the magic that made the series a powerhouse all those years ago. With its humble protagonist, whose outlook on life is clouded by relateable and crushing heartbreak, and a world so detail-rich, it's hard not to be floored by everything Origins manages to be.
Assassin's Creed Origins is the definitive action-adventure game of the year. It's a wild power fantasy that satisfies not only a curious thirst for knowledge but both bloodlust and wanderlust to such lengths it's almost gluttonous.

Ubisoft needed to recapture the magic that made the series great in the first place, and it seems it has done so. It's just all the quintessential problems within said magic tag along for the ride.

Assassin's Creed Origins took an amazing new direction with a brand new story, new world, and new hero. The story is quite epic and it presents some of the most important historical events and characters in Egypt. I loved the variety of targets and how each boss has a complete different approach that changes the combat strategy and gameplay.

Assassin's Creed Origins is a beautiful open world action-adventure game, a real reborn for the Ubisoft saga made possible by a fresh new combat and quest system. The story is passionate and the character of Aya is very cool. Perhaps the game is not perfect and had some trouble of game desing, but we can surely say that is very good and a perfect way to follow for the next chapter.

After taking a year off, Assassin's Creed is going through a transitional period and taking players back to the very founding of the Brotherhood in Ancient Egypt is symbolic of that. The vast new setting, the improved combat system and moving the series towards being a real action RPG have injected this series with a new life.

Assassin's Creed returns with an entry that moves the series forward, but also goes back to the beginning of the Brotherhood. This new entry is a bit more of an action RPG, telling the story of how Bayek of Siwa becomes the first Assassin alongside a number of intriguing side quests. Combat is overhauled, but it's still a bit muddy when fighting multiple enemies. What absolutely does work is the world itself; Egypt is beautiful and the diversity in the environments is impressive. I'm unsure if Assassin's Creed Origins will convert anyone who isn't already a fan of the series, but it does what it does well enough to join the top of the franchise.

The scale and beauty of Ancient Egypt is stunning, and you might find yourself spending hours just exploring. But, within that, the main story is threatening to become lost.

Overall, besides the aforementioned lack of instant assassinations in some cases, I do have a lingering concern regarding the depth and variety of content, an important aspect of games belonging to the open world genre. Ubisoft stated that it would always be meaningful, but I still have to check whether this will actually be the case.
Other than that, though, Assassin's Creed Origins is looking great so far.

Assassin's Creed: Origins manages to be both experimental and safe. It tries a lot of new things, but it never ventures too far from the Assassin's Creed formula. There's a lot of potential in Origins, and it'll be exciting to see how the new features evolve in future games. Fans of Assassin's Creed should find a lot to like, and it may be time to revisit the battle between the Assassins and the Templars.

Although Ubisoft Montreal tried to add RPG elements and implement a new combat system in order to create a different gameplay, the problems in physics and various bugs, prevent Assassin's Creed Origins to become a great experience. The game has a great story and beautiful music but it can become repetitive very quickly and we can't see any improvements in graphics.
