Bought a PS4 bundle a while ago, and sold Infinite Warfare immediately after (CoD just not for me), but just found the MW:R code in my PS4 manuals. I'm happy to give it away but it says that you need the Infinite Warfare disc to be inserted in your PS4. Lmk and I'll PM you.

So a few months ago the Power button stopped working and from there on i just used my controller to turn the Ps4 on. Now my controller has been disconnected from the Ps4, because i used it on my PC. Is there any way i can turn it on otherwise? Or am i screwed?
So I just got my girlfriend a PS4 though she has no games to play. I was going to log into my account to download some of the digital games I have bought/gotten from Plus over the years. As I'm sure many of you are aware, you can only have one account as your primary PS4.
My question is: if I switch her PS4 to the primary, will it affect me/lock me out of anything? I am the only person who uses my PS4 so to my understanding I will still be able to access all my digital games and downloads so long as I'm connected to the internet.

I got Master's Of Shadow when it was a free game. Haven't played it yet, but I will soon as I've heard it was fun. Because of the current sale, the new Game Shards Of Darkness is $29.99. So I recently had to disable my power button on my DAY 1 PS4 due to it turning itself on and off at random times and realized just afterwards how I was gonna get the thing into safe mode to rebuild database or reinitialize it without opening it up again and reactivating the power button. I'm away from my PS4 to test anything but I wanted to ask, is there any way to boot it up in safe mode with just a controller/without a working power button?

Happy Saturday everyone, and welcome to another week of Media Create sales! With E3 behind us and TGS months away, we've officially hit the summer doldrums. Still, it doesn't mean that the discussions are any less exciting!
This week, Nintendo Switch owners received their next big title with ARMS, which is undoubtedly going to have folks noodling the numbers like Min-Min. Expect a few surprising moves and a couple of shocking returns this week as we dive into the numbers.
This week, titles on Nintendo hardware controlled fourteen spaces on the big board. Eight 3DS games, five Switch titles, and a Wii U game were lucky enough to make the cut. Switch fans have cause to celebrate, because the big N's latest hybrid controls the entire top-3 this time around.
At the front of the pack, ARMS (Switch) stands out like Twintelle in a character select screen. Nintendo's home-grown fighting game punched through 100,652 units this period to take first place. I was actually a bit more bullish on the title's fortunes, due to the action I've seen in sales charts, social media, and the general enthusiasm of the market proper. I had it pegged at "lower than Mario Kart (284,823 week-1), but higher than Breath of the Wild (186,379 week-1)," which was a bit optimistic. The gap may narrow with download cards included, but I'm not expecting any major movement on that front.
That said, this was a fantastic opening for a new IP on a new platform. Hell, it's a dynamite opening for a fighting game in general. Tekken 7 debuted with 58,736 sales, and Street Fighter V launched with just 41,990 sales. Combined, they moved 100,726 units. ARMS sold as much as both titles combined (well, 74 units shy, but still). The title enjoys a 10.15% attach rate, so one copy sold for every ten Switch consoles in the wild. Sell-through is a little worrying, as it's just 60-80% according to Famitsu, but I'm going to take a "wait and see" approach for week-2.
The high-speed mayhem of Mario Kart 8 Deluxe (Switch) took a comparative backseat this week. The quirky kart racer dipped down to second place, with 16,822 copies reaching customers (522,091 LTD). Sales remained pretty flat overall for the game, which enjoys a 52.65% attach rate. So, basically, one copy is still selling for roughly every two Switch consoles out in the wild. I'm still bullish on it reaching the million mark sooner than later, though it'll depend highly on Switch supply and whether it's bundled as to the specifics on when.
For those not seeking that competitive angle, Hyrule continues to to be a sanctuary. The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild (Switch) shifted 10,200 units this period (504,726 LTD) to claim third place. The Wii U verson also managed to chart at 16th, with 2,242 copies reaching customers (133,024 LTD). Combined, the two SKUs pushed out 637,750 units since launch.
Now, this is a lot to unpack, as Breath of the Wild's Switch SKU had a particularly good week. On a percentages level, sales climbed 15%. But, more important, we saw this SKU finally crack the half-million mark. This is a pretty huge deal, given that Zelda titles have been trending low since Phantom Hourglass in 2009 (902,386).

It's just 50K shy of beating out Twilight Princess (Wii, 554,109), and continues to maintain that 50.9% attach rate. Literally one copy is going out the door for every two Switch consoles. Simply fantastic.
Meanwhile, the hunt rages on just outside of Hyrule's reach. Monster Hunter Double Cross (3DS) managed to move 8,638 units this period (1,521,453 LTD) to take an easy fourth place. The title continues to hold strong, though we are starting to see some signs of decline. The 15% decline this week could be a signal that this will begin a slow downward curve, as it's replaced by the Switch SKU in August.
Somehow, the ultimate mission remains in good standing. Dragon Ball Heroes: Ultimate Mission X (3DS) clung to 7th this time around, with 3,598 copies reaching customers (157,050). While sales continue to remain strong, we are seeing it in the downward swing. Sales dropped by 22% this period, and 23 the last. At its current rate, of decline, we'll probably see it exit the charts by early July.
Of course, I say this about Dragon Ball, but there is potential to buck the trend a bit. After all, Pokémon Sun & Moon (3DS)continues to thrive in the mid-charts. The latest entry in Nintendo's classic monster-collecting franchise saw sales remain relatively flat this week, with 2,971 units sold (3,275,414 LTD). Sales should remain fairly consistent in the coming weeks, with a small spike when Pokken Tourname DX hits in August. I'm not 100% sure if it'll remain in the charts until November's release of Ultra Sun and Ultra Moon, but it's a very real possibility at this point.
Deeper down, the Mana Tree still stands against an oppressive market. Seiken Densetsu Collection (Switch) slashed its way to the #12 space this period, with 2,835 copies reaching customers (37,728 LTD). This is still following the typical JRPG sales curve, which means that I expect to see further declines next week, followed by an exit by early-ish July. Still, it should read 40K, which is fantastic for an obvious low-budget ROM collection. (Now Square Enix, western release please?)
On the note of standing tall, Animal Crossing: New Leaf's Welcome amiibo SKU (3DS) continues to make its presence known to the world. The latest entry in Nintendo's "Debt to the Racoon Goons" sim pushed 2,747 units this time around (190,346 LTD) to claim 13th place. Next week will mark seven months since this SKU's release, and it shows few signs of slowing down. There's little doubt that we'll see it cross 200K, which is pretty outstanding considering the core game hit stores in 2012.
It looks like it's a microgame party further down the charts. 1-2-Switch (Switch) managed to hang onto 14th this period, with 2,618 units sold (222,668 LTD). The game is well on its way toward the 250K mark, though we might not see it reach that milestone on-charts. Still, it's on track to crack 225K next period, which is strong for a title that was derided for being light on content. The game enjoys a 22.45% attach rate, so it's basically sold one copy for every five Switch consoles on the market.
That said, it's still hard to appeal the thrill of building the better Mario Trap, so to speak. Super Mario Maker for Nintendo 3DS (3DS) pushed 2,599 copies this period (1,052,401 LTD) to take 15th place. It looks like Mario Maker found a semi-permanent resident in the lower quarter, with consistent sales and a generally steady stream of enthusiasm from the market.
Speaking of enthusiasm, sports fans continue to line up for a game of baseball, footie, or even horse racing (one of these things is not like the other...). Mario Sports Superstars (3DS) continues to cling to the big board. The title moved anothre 2,195 copies this period (102,977 LTD) to land at 17th. I'm curious to see where this finally ends up, since its initial trajectory placed it far below 100K in predictions.
It looks like 3DS fans are getting back into Mario Kart mania. Mario Kart 7 (3DS) drifted to 18th this period, with 2,145 units sold (2,783,005 LTD) to take 18th place.
At the back of the lineup, baseball fever seems to maintain a mild buzz. Pro Baseball Famista Climax (3DS) knocked a quick fly in the bottom of the 9th, selling 2,135 copies (86,616 LTD) to take the #19 space..
The Switch saw an expected bump this week, with 37,709 units sold (991,659 LTD). If you've paid attention to the news, you know tha the system will break a million by next week's numbers. The console is greatly outpacing the Vita, PS4, and Wii U launches aligned, and shows no signs of slowing down. With Splatoon 2 hitting in July and Monster Hunter XX in August, the console is looking very strong as we make that transition to Fall.
The 3DS took a well-earned third this week, with 15,062 units sold (22,816,508 LTD). The Wii U, meanwhile, continues to meander down that path to its inevitable end. The quirky console shifted 199 units this period.
The PlayStation family controlled six spots on the big board this week, with five PS4 games and a Vita title making the charts.
In the champion's chair, we find Tekken 7 (PS4) awaiting the next challenger. The PS4 fighter shifted 5,407 units (76,603 LTD) to secure a fifth place victory. At this point, we're starting to see the game enter its normal "decline" phase. The 57% drop is within expected norms, so we should expect a standard "fighting game" sales curve. This is a bit unfortunate, due to the title's overall under-performing. I'm curious to see how Bandai Namco reacts, and whether the western releases will pick up the slack.
Not far behind, Adol Christin continues his latest grand adventure. Ys VIII: Lacrimosa of Dana (PS4) held onto 6th place, with 4,697 copies reaching customers (47,964 LTD). We should see this SKU cross the 50K mark next week. The title is still doing fantastic considering it's a year-old port, and the 12% decline continues to indicate a shallow sales curve.
The lure of crime time continues to bring folks to San Andreas. Grand Theft Auto V's budget-priced re-release (PS4) climbed to the #8 space with 3,588 units sold (349,575 LTD). We will see the game cross 350K next period. As I've said time and time again, to see a re-release of a port of a four-year-old reach 350K is freaking fantastic. Well done, Rockstar.
Speaking of doing well, NieR: Automata (PS4) continues to attract audiences. Yoko Taro's action-RPG pushed another 3,198 copies this time around (344,841 LTD) to hang onto ninth place. The title should cruise by 350K within two sales periods at its current rate. Now, I've sung this title's praises time and time again. Still, it has to be said Yoko Taro and Platinum really caught lightning in a bottle with this genre-subverting experience. To see so close to cracking 350K is simply phenomenal. Well done, Square Enix. Now pay Yoko Taro.
Finally, there's Minecraft. The Vita version of Notch's blocky builder managed to claim 11th place this period, selling through 2,940 copies (1,164,180 LTD). The PS4 edition also charted at 20th, with 2,064 units sold (193,485 LTD). Really, the sales of Minecraft continue to be a thing of beauty for the Vita. The title, which debuted two years ago, continues to pop into the top-20 regularly. Simply astounding.
The PS4 took an easy second place this time around, with 24,046 units sold (4,850,625 LTD). Of those, 5,795 were PS4 Pro units (281,638 LTD).
The Vita took a distant fourth, pushing just 4,149 handhelds (5,646,573 LTD). The PS3, meanwhile, continues to meander along, with 298 consoles sold (10,467,584 LTD).
This week, Microsoft finally joined the big boy's club. Well, kind of. The system sold through 308 units this week (79,797 LTD), which was enough to outpace both the PS3 and the Wii U. We should see it cross 80K by the end of June at its current pace - ideally by next week.
That said, 308 is still pretty awful, which means it's funny story time.

Having a blast as the killer. Survivors not so much. I dont find it as blanced or fun as friday 13th. In f13, you have some tools to fight back, even if they are at best temporary soloutions. Here you get caught and thats pretty much it. Also takes forever to start generators.
Im having fun overall, just find matches go on a tad too long. Its worth a play though, even with grindy achievements.
For some reason, we have 2 routers. One is setup in the living room. We have 3 ethernet cables running out to my room and then my brothers. In my room, I have a separate router. I have to Ethernet cables running through them to connect to my PC and my PS4. My brother who is directly connected to the main router has UPnP enabled and he has NAT 2. I enabled UPnP on my router and forwarded the necessary ports and I still have NAT 3. My router is a Belkin F9K1105v1. Any help?

My controller has input lag and gets stuck on a command. I have tried hitting the reset button on the back of the controller but that only turns the controller off. I have resorted to using Remote Play with my Vita to play some of my games. But Remote Play doesn't work well with all of my games. Is there a way to go into settings to reset the controller or could it be a software glitch? I have the 20th anniversary edition, not the limited one.
So recently bought a second controller and have been wanting to play games with my girlfriend. We've been playing overcooked and having fun in that however she's not really a gamer but she likes racing games, is there any good ones out currently?

So a bit of backstory, it's been 3 years since I got the PS4 and it was quite. December of 2016, the PS4 was dropped in the airport and when I reached my destination, it wouldn't turn. Sent to a technician and the motherboard got repaired. However, since then the PS4 has this sound which is as loud as a hair dryer. So today I opened my PS4 to clean the fan however, the inside was clean. And here clean I meant like very very little dust and it looked almost brand new. However, the sound didn't disappear. Also as soon as I quit the game, the sound goes away. Any suggestions? Thanks
I just got Overwatch from redbox to try it out and when I put it in my console it says there is a 21 GB update...after some research it's saying that that isn't accurate and it's way smaller than that. I've tried restarting a bunch but it still says its 21 gigs. Also, my disc drive seems to be spinning off and on for some reason, constantly starting and stopping, only when Overwatch is in. What the fuck is going on here?
TLDR; can my brother play my digital games on his ps4 (I have my own ps4) offline? So my brothers going on vacation soon and wants to bring our PS4. I agreed and I bought a PS4 pro for myself whiles he's gone. Now I have my own ps4 (which is activated as my primary) with my main account on it. My brother has the older ps4 with his account (sub account) and my account is also logged on. His ps4 is currently being downloaded with the games he's wants to play; all his games are single player. The place where my brothers going to doesn't have good internet, so he's going to stay offline. Will his digital games work if he's offline? If it doesn't, my other solution would be upgrade his sub account to a master account; ill play for a month ps plus gift card. I'm assuming my digital games that he plays will be available to him. Would this alternate work? Thanks for the answers in advance. Also I couldn't find anything on google about offline sub account on another ps4.
Has anyone found an actual fix to the CE-34878-0 error (every game crashes 10-15 minutes into the session)?
I've tried: Uninstalling/Reinstalling the games, Swapping HDDs and Initializing.

I had to quit playing MGSV because that game has literally no deadzones and my controller rests like 1 mm above true neutral so I always walk forward slowly. Have never had this issue in another game.
Holding it backwards slightly works but is annoying because again the game has no deadzones so between neutral and moving backwards is also like 1 mm difference.
War for Cybertron and Fall of Cybertron are so good and are the Arkham Asylum and Arkham City of Transformers games. A third game with PS4 graphics would be so great.

Quick, silly question. If you do a backup of your PS4 using the "Backup and Restore" method, is the file size going to be the same as the used space on the PS4? (500GB used = 500GB file size?)
Or if you have, say, a 2TB drive that's less than half full and you back it up with the backup utility, can it only be restored onto another 2TB drive, even if the used space would fit on a smaller drive?

I keep on having trouble with the Display Area Settings on the ps4. The showed area is constantly a bit to big. I went to the Display Area Setting in the ps4 settings several times and adjusted it but it doesnt even effect the picture ingame. If anyone knows how to fix this please respond.
For the past few months, my PS4 has had HDMI issues. When I hooked it up to my Pelican overseas, occasionally the picture would black out or flicker, but it was more of an occasional annoyance than a hindrance.
Now that I'm back stateside, I either travel with it in my bag or leave it at home, and the HDMI reliability became worse and worse to the point that when I turn my PS4 on, there's no audio or video anymore. I've changed ports on the TV and two new cables, but nothing works. I turn my TV's "Input" mode on and it shows that the port for HDMI 2, HDMI 3, etc (whichever I have the PS4 plugged into) is on, but it doesn't say "PlayStation 4 Connected" like it used to.
I'm not sure what caused it and other than being in my baggage on flights, I can't imagine what would've happened to it to damage it, but is there a fix for this?
I mean, I don't want to have to replace it but if there's no fix I suppose I have to.

This is the first time I've come to this thread. I'm still a reddit noob. But ever since the last update my PS4 has been extremely laggy. And when trying to switch games or even to switch to Netflix it's been freezing. When it comes on the suggested action it says my PS4 may need an update and go to settings update. But my when I do it says its up to date. It's making everything I do with my PS4 games, game switching, or watching tv a hassle due to freezing. And restarting. Just wondering if it's only me? Or maybe possible solutions. Have restated and unplugged with no success.

I've got a Turtle Beach Earforce P4c headset, a single sided headset with a mic. Recently I've noticed that only half of the audio for games has been coming through. For some games/configurations I can switch to a mono setting and it's fine, but I'm not sure if this is supposed to be happening because I only just recently started using it for more than just chat. Thoughts?
i have a weird problem. whenever i change my PS4 resolution to 1080p, i get weird red pixels/artifacts on certain places ingame and on the ps4 home screen. i tried changing my hdmi cabel,monitor,tv,settings nothing worked. except the resolution change.
So this did also happen a few months back, and now it's back.
My PS4 randomly turns off, yes, randomly. No, I don't knock it with my foot. There isn't a faulty power supply. It's the PS4.
I've had my PS4 for 2.5 years and never took it apart to clean it. I've never cleaned it because my friends don't have the same problem and they haven't cleaned theirs, and they've also had it since release.
The PS4 will also, majority of the time in fact, go into rest mode rather than power off. It will go into rest mode, I'll boot it back up and it will beep and go back into rest mode. Then it will eventually power off after the 3rd time, that's given that I haven't lost my shit and manually forced the fucker off.
On top of that, it has the cheek to tell ME that I didn't switch off the console properly.
Am I the only one experiencing these? Or is it common?
Sorry if this comes across as a rant, I hope you can tell how infuriating this is when you're trying to relax and this thing beeps at you and switches off.

Pretty excited for the DLC/update. The problem is that I purchased Diablo 3 on my Primary account but I play all my games using another account. Will the Necromancer pack be a "credits/lootbox style" purchase or a standard DLC that can be shared with all other accounts?
I really like the look of the gold PS4 controller but I have bought 2 of them so far ( one from bestbuy and amazon) and I have had to send back both because of the joysticks not bouncing back once clicking them down. Anyone else have this problem with the gold controller? I have another one on the way and I hope this one works.

Sony really should consider making a new VR hand controller with analog sticks built in and full camera tracking like the move controller.
Pretty much a combo of the move pointer controller and the analog stick controller, so both hands can freely interact in the VR games. In Skyrim VR on PSVR, I want full hand movement.
Also on potential fps games I want some dual wield action so both sticks sometimes may be needed for whatever.
Most of what I have found online is just info and how to set up lan connections. I'm good on the technical aspect, I'm just trying to find games that actually support lan for the number of players we have. I've heard some in the call of duty series can, but I'm not sure if that's 2 or 4 players per console.
What games support 8 player lan and how many consoles would it require?
Listening to jeremy soule's GW2 and Skyrim soundtracks and i can't get over just how incredible they are. Wanted to know other composers who are highly regarded in gaming. You hear about great OST's like Gravity Rush 2 or RDR but you never hear about the people behind them.
Ever since yesterday, I will try to appear offline and under my profile it will say "You appear online because you are online on another device". The only devices I have connected are my ps3 and ps4 and the playstation website says only those 2 are connected as well. Could this be a glitch? Sometimes I will keep switching between appear online and offline and it will show that message and then disappear or it will stay.
Yo! I've been thinking about getting me a racing game for the summer to the ps4. Was really into the forza horizon look, though I don't own an Xbox. So I'm interested in an alternative. Ok so at some point I deregistered my only PS4 as my "primary" PS4. My brother also has a PS4 and I thought maybe I had registered his to my account but now that does not appear to be the case. If my system is not connected to the internet I lose access to all digits copies of games I have downloaded and cannot play them until I have internet access again. This is normally not a problem at home so I have been procrastinating dealing with the problem, however I work as a merchant mariner offshore and bring my system with me to occupy long weeks spent without internet and phone service. I would really like to solve this problem so I can play a few digital download games I have. I have contacted SONY and they have been absolutely no help whatsoever. I don't understand how this isn't a simple password recovery type situation. Can anybody offer some advice please?
I recently bought a pair of Sennheiser HD 4.50 Bluetooth headphones for listening to music. It hadn't really occurred to me to use them with my PS4 but today my TV broke and I am using my speakerless PC monitor as a back up.
When in a game the audio is very odd. The stereo doesn't seem to like the sounds in the game. Sometimes/ or when facing particular direction it's perfect but a lot of it is muffled or barely audible.
I've played around with a lot of the in game setting and the system preferences but to no avail. Any help or advice would be greatly appreciated.
I have a ps4 slim, I'm playing wd2 at the moment and sometimes when I'm driving around fast I get a bit of screen tearing. Is this normal?
I have an OG PS4, no issues with it internally. I keep it clean in a well ventilated area. Today while Playing uncharted it get very LOUD. Normally its fine and there seem to be no issues in the game. any thoughts what could cause this?
I'm trying to make a theme with some characters on the game icons (resolution 1920X1080) but I can't manage to find a single pattern to see where the icon are (to put the characters precisely). Does anyone knows a blank pattern with the icons position or can create one for this resolution? Thank you in advance
So, I turn on PlayStation on and I get on a game like usual; ever since I've gotten it, it's been randomly turning off and showing a black screen, then flashing vertical lines of colors. Is this a case of overheating? Should I contact Sony support?
So is it ok or is it frowned upon to share games I have bought on my PS4 with my brother's on their PS4s which are literally across the room from me?

I play Rainbow Six Siege with a friend and this feature would be pretty great to set up a team of randoms in a party as quick as possible, I've been thinking that it would be great for the upcoming Monster Hunter Worlds game too.
What do you guys think? I dunno where else to ask since reddit has been my "main" social media thing beside twitter, but I hope that we can make enough buzz about this to make it a thing on the PS4.
Edit: The "overlay" feature thingy mentioned in that GAF thread sounds neat too, it shows who is talking in the party, this is pretty useful for when you invite randoms to the party, or join a random party and you don't want to awkwardly ask each and everyone of them to identify their usernames and voices, lol, happened to me yesterday on Siege, ended up eventually figuring out who's who, but after like 4 ranked matches.
I'm looking to pick up a new game to sink some time in to and am interested in both. I love RPGs and story driven games. I like them to have some difficulty so I can't just breeze through them. I'm not leaning too far towards either one so I'm happy to hear opinions
It's pretty much stupid how games and themes can be shared but avatars can't.
Reason is I'm used to playing on PC running games at 60+FPS.
Only game I bought so far is Bloodborne and I haven't finished it(dont think I ever will) and although its a great game I ended up regretting my purchase due to the 30FPS lock(game feels slow,camera "lagging",actions not immediate etc)
Please respect my opinion,I know there a lot of people who don't have a problem playing at 30 but I got used to playing at 60.
edit: Unfortunately 30FPS seems unavoidable for the most part but I'm willing to try games like Horizon Zero Dawn(apparently it runs much more smoothly unlike bloodborne according to digital foundry)
Ill start off with the problems I am having.
Ever since i got it, usb/hdmi, & ethernet ports seemed odd. The cords fit loose & if I wiggle the internet cable to the side just right, the internet cuts out.
And the past few days, I get no video when I first bootup my ps4. I have to disconnect & reconnect the hdmi cable everytime it happens. I tried a different hdmi cable & internet cable, no change.
Would playstation take this in for repair or would I be wasting time? Really don't want to send it in & they send it back with a response like "We did not find any problems with your console" etc.
I heard it can take up to 6 weeks before you get your console back. My ps4 is a slim. Bought it back in September the first week the slim released. This hdmi issue is the only problem I really have with it. I'm thinking maybe the loose port fittings is a safety thing probably. Like so if the console falls etc, it prevents the ports from being damaged.

I was recently scrolling through my PS4 games and decided to play witcher 3. I loaded the application and went to get the disc as I was expecting it to ask for it, but it didn't! It just plays. Am I missing something here, why would this work? As far as I know I don't have a digital copy.
I feel like something is juggling inside the controller's left side whenever I make movements with my controller. Tested this by gently moving it up and down (as well as lightly shaking it on one end). There is clearly something off about the left side, because the right side isn't doing this at all. The battery pack inside the controller is located at the center, so I don't think that is the issue. Does anyone have this problem? I could probably get it exchanged in a few days.
Is the game worth paying full price? Or should i wait for a good deal. I haven't played tekken since tekken 3 but i would love to get back into the series. Is tekken 7 worth the cash is what i am saying.
Heyo, let me preface by saying anything "tech" goes over my head easily. 😥 I tried googling for a simple answer but most of what I found wasn't exactly what I was looking for or posted years ago- Can I use my phone hotspot to play online games like Overwatch and Tekken? I live in an area where internet is only provided by satellite companies so I never got a plan (why pay astronomical prices for shitty service?) and I've just been using my phone for wifi. I bought Mario Kart 8 Deluxe for the Switch and I was never able to get online with it since Nintendo had strict NAT restrictions... I don't wanna buy Overwatch or other games and basically waste $60.

Personally I think they've let themselves down with the price that they are going to be charging for this. It makes more sense to charge £20, there would be a lot more purchases, more players etc. Now I've saw quite a few people aren't happy about the price they've stated, but are a lot of you still going to bite at that price?

Happens on my OG PS4 and new slim version. Seems to be a flip of a coin, one day I can turn it on and it's playing at like 0.6 speed next time I turn it on it's 2x speed. I play on a gaming monitor but it's the same on my TV and with different hdmi cables. Ive tried rebuilding database and initialising console but no luck.
Really liking it so far, haven't gotten too far yet to really get a grip on the mechanics overall, just wondering how you figure out the best way to understand modifications? I find the explanations either way too vague or don't have any descriptions for what they do. I bought it a few days ago and playing 2033 currently, and I do you HAVE to increase your moral points in order to get the enlightened ending. I was trying to get trophies out of it. I know theres two choices at the end. I didn't do anything to affect my moral points, but I was going to beat it on Spartan mode and get the enlightened ending, then replay it on survival mode and get the ranger ending. Do I HAVE to increase my morality for a specific ending?

So I just dug out my ps3 and I want to link my ps plus account from my ps4 to the ps3. Is that possible? I have tried signing in with my ps4 account on the ps3 but it won't let me.
So I was switching discs on my ps4 and accidentilly dropped one at about a height of 20 centimeters. It doesn't seem to be damaged and the ps4 can read it but do you it might affect loading time or in-game stuff like cutscenes ?
I kept reading reviews and posts about how good The Witcher 3 is, possibly one of the best RPGs of all time. But I'm having a hard time enjoying it. One of the major issues I'm having with it is the clunky combat system. Am I missing something here? I want to keep playing and I want to have that one moment where everything clicks and I really start to like it. But after a few hours in, I'm kinda forcing myself to keep struggling to like it. Any tips or tricks that maybe made you guys really start to appreciate the game and enjoy it?
I just got the new gold edition and realized it has the same feel of my old silver PS 2 whose coat wore off in the corners and likely would have gotten worse over time.
I also noticed my gold system has some scratches on it, even though it is supposed to be brand new according to the seller I bought it from (they have excellent ratings).
1-2 scratches are super fine while the other kinda looks like a squiggly line on the side. The black part of the system that is sandwiched between the gold halves also has a few fine scratches.
This isn't worth the hassle of returning over superficial marks but I am concerned about the paint job -- I hope Sony didn't cheap out here...

Hey everyone, first time posting here because I've always been a PC gamer. However, due to their being a shit ton of games that I am dying to play that are console exclusive, I'm going to be buying a PS4 Pro. My problem is I'm not sure what screen to buy. Of course I'd love to take advantage of the console's 4k capabilities, but even the cheapest 4k TVs/Monitors are 500 dollars here in Canada. If they were high quality, I might consider it, but it's just too much for a low end product. I'm also not really sure whether I should be getting a TV or a monitor. I was looking at 32" 1920x1080 monitors, but apperently they are not very clear and crisp due to stretching the pixels over so many inches. I'm going to be playing at my desk, so my eyes will be about 3 feet from the screen. Any advice is much appreciated.

Pro has been out a while now and it was touted as being 4K compatible for streaming and gaming.. but I can't seem to get anything but 1080p out of the app. I have no 4k category and I've tried changing system resolution etc. without success.

As I understand it, we cant delete our notifications. However, there is a limit of 100 notifications so older notifications do indeed get deleted automatically.
My problem is that I have alot of messages on my notifications tab that I don't want anyone using my system to see. I can't delete them and leaving message group doesnt get rid of them.
My only solution would be to try to get at least 100 new notifications to push out my private messages that I recieved.

I bought the cod4/IW bundle physical copy since it was only $60. I winded up selling IW for $45, because I didn't care for it at all. How ever I still have cod4 in my library.

So I really like RPGS, and I love RPG elements, but if I want skill progressions, it seems like the only games that I can get are call of duty. I REALLY like things like killing floor 2, but I'm looking for something with killing floor 2s perk system but with gameplay more like Playerunknown's Battlegrounds. Any suggestions?
So basically I want to clean the inside of my PS4, however I'm not very tech savvy at all. I remember taking my ps2 apart to clean it and ended up ruining it when I was 12 and I'm nervous to try that again.
The console is probably 2 and a half years old and has been collecting whatever dog cat and human hair and any dust it can. Because of this it now sound like a Harley is in my living room when I'm playing some auto-saving games and during high quality segments.
I was hoping there is a simple solution that doesn't involve taking the system apart but whatever advise will be helpful.

Having to wake it up, only to immediately turn it off during storms can't be that good for the console in the long run.
No matter what game i put in my PS4, I get a message that says "Unrecognized disc". I know this is an error, because i just tried to put a brand new disc in there, and im getting the same issue.
Occasionally it will work, but only after i empty my disc drive, and unplug my ps4 for 30 seconds to a minute. After that, once I pop the disc in, its fine... for a session or two. Then the same thing happens.
I bought it new from Gamestop around late May, so its not terribly old.
Any fixes? Any help is greatly appreciated!!

Let's say i buy a game that released in 2015 do the developers or publisher still get the money or does it all go to the store. Hello, i bought a Gold Wireless Headset yesterday, and i leave it charging all night on my console, but the red light is still on. How long it usually takes to fully charge in the first time? I need to do something else?
I have my PS4 plugged into a switched outlet and sometimes (but not all times) when I turn the light switch on the PS4 will boot.
I don't have any questions or concerns about it (although maybe I should be a little concerned), I just thought it was interesting and that I'd share it with the community.

My hope is that we get 2 options; One for a Straight up Resolution bump, something like Native 1440p@30fps or Checkerboarded@30fps to something higher and maybe some small extras like, extra foliage or slightly better AO, and a seperate option for a Native 1080p@30fps with a much higher graphical preset, gotta get hairworks for my man Geralt. It would help sell pro's to people with only 1080p screens.

When you navigate to "Your Shares " from live from playstation it says there are no content items? why?
None of my friends played Destiny so I never got into it. I bought it last Christmas and have never played a single minute. But now that I have seen some of the gameplay of Destiny 2, I am very excited. So this weekend I plan on starting Destiny 1. I know that I will never get all that I can out of it, but I want to still try it.

So I've decided to get Witcher 3 never bought or played from this franchise before. If I buy the goty edition which is £25-£30. Compared to the standard normal version which is around £16. However I need to trade in tekken 7 which I'll do at game and get £30 cash roughly. I was going to buy the game from game itself but eBay have a better price including the goty version for just £20. Does the goty have every dlc available? And is it worth getting

I just saw this randomly in the F2P section and i fell in love with the art style. It's just so gorgeous and the music is beautiful. I just can't do anything other than roam around the min hub area. I try to start a quest but it just bugs out at the loading screen and doesn't start. Can't do anything. Is there a fix or is this some bug that's only affecting a few people so it's not note worthy?

Hi there I was hoping someone would be able to help me. My ps4 controller keeps spinng my character at seemingly random times. I recently brought a new controller 2 weeks ago (official not 3rd party) and it has been happening pretty much ever since. I have done everything I could possibly think of to fix this. I have restarted the console, turned controller on and off, restarted controller ( with the toothpick button on the back). I've looked through all the system menus and found nothing to help me. I went back to the store to get a replacement and the replacement worked fine for a day or two then the same thing started happening. I decided I would use my old controller ( the only problem with this controller was that it had issues charging occasionally) and the same situation is occurring. If anyone is able to tell me some way how to fix this I will be very grateful. Also the new controller I purchased from the store is the newer model with the light bar showing on the touch pad.

Hello, I have a DS4 since launch and my main issue is that R2 doesn't full respond anymore, e.g. I can't go full speed in racing games.
Even the right analog stick has a strange issue, in twin stick shooter if I aim top right, the laser pointed (like in Alienation) isn't stable at all but it moves alone, even if my analog stick position is steady.
I was thinking to buy the new DS4 V2, but I'm reading that the face buttons are worse, same on triggers that are too mushy, and I'm concerned regarding L3 and R3.. are they more "hard" to click?

When I signed up for Facebook many years ago, I used my mobile number to create my account and have always used it to sign in. I'm trying to link my PS4 to my Facebook account to share some video clips from GTA and, when I attempt to sign in, the log in button stays grayed out which I can only assume is because it will only accept an email address.
Is there anything I can do say, from my computer or elsewhere within the system to do this or will I have to (if you can even still do this) change my login on Facebook to an email address?
I then need to unplug/replug it into the powerpoint to turn it back on. Sometimes I have to repeat this process like 5 times.
Like the title says, I want to know the issues that might occur if power gets cut off to the ps4 when using it.
There is always something downloading in the background when playing any games(usually update). I don't play multiplayer at all(internet is slow and unstable, high ping). Recently, the power got cut off and the external HDD was in use, playing NieR, and after the power came back, I turned on my ps4, it did the fixing thing, and showed warning and then when it was repairing the external HDD, it showed an error that it could not be repaired and because of it, the hard drive needed to be reformatted.( One thing to note is that the HDD was dropped to the floor before, but but enough to damage it.)
This killed me as I had to download 80gb of update again, and that would take around 190-200 hours(as I said my internet is extremely slow).
Now, getting an ups is great idea but currently I don't have the money for it. So I wanted to know what damages occur when power gets cut off when using it. Is there any safety thing Sony did? I have heard it does almost no damage but I want a proper answer.
..... I'm really disappointed in my xbox one s controller. Don't get me wrong. I love my xbox. But it seems to pale in comparison to the features of the PS4 controller. I hope the One X amps its game up. At the very least get rid of the AA Battery requirement.
I've had my Astro A40s with the Mixamp pro for a little over a year now and I got them used off amazon. My friends have been tolerant of the absolutely abysmal mic quality for quite some time but I'm dissatisfied with the mic quality. Can anybody offer a fix for this? I refuse to buy a Turtle Beach chat cable and hook it to my controller, and I've already tried lowering the microphone volume in settings and it still sounds worse than my friend's Apple earbud mic. I've read about downgrading the Mixamp firmware to the original launch firmware, can anybody vouch for it?
Since the last update this message pops up when i try to join someone's share play, before the update it was working just fine. Anyone know what the cause of the problem is or how to fix this issue?
I'm in the eternal hell that is waiting for a download to fully complete after it gives me like... 10 minutes of gameplay to dick around in. This game in particular (Saints Row 4) just cuts me off after the introduction with a crummy text box saying "Hey, wait for this download to finish" Which gets me thinking. Are there any games which utilize this annoying feature to flesh out their game a bit more? (I.E, having characters allude to it, having an in-game blockage that would make sense in canon, ect ect) This seems like a fitting discussion to have while I wait the godforsaken 35 hours just to break through the damn introduction and create my doofy character.
So, guys, I just smashed my second DS4 controller because of FIFA rage and broke it badly. I've just owned a PS4 for about 2 months now and I don't want to pay $60 for a new controller. Any controllers I can have for cheap (like $20-30) like the cheap Xbone controllers that aren't official Microsoft ones?
I've always had a hard time with FPS games. Every time I give another shooter a chance, I get discouraged and rage quit from sucking. If I can learn to like first person games, it would open up SOOOOO many more PS4 titles.

Sorry if this is the wrong place to ask but I have an issue on my recently purchased brand new PS4 slim... I have it hooked up currently to my monitor and it worked perfectly fine on the very first startup, but now everytime I turn it off and on again, all I see is a black screen which is fixed by replugging in the hdmi cord to my PS4.

So, I have been tethering for awhile now and I woke up to download an update for Rocket League however my ps4 was receiving no connection from my pc...I don't quite understand what has changed. My pc is receiving a connection from my phone just fine. But when I open my Network and Sharing setting my ps4 says it is Disconnected but Shared. I have no idea what has changed, thoughts? (And I did try reconnecting from the Sharing Center but i would try to connect and fail...)

So I saw some games I was interested in with the Double Discount sale. All in all I filled my cart with 9 games and 1 Dynamic Theme. The total cost was just over $50, which featured a savings of over $100.
Here's where the problems started. My primary funding is my Paypal account. I have ordered this way on PSN for years without an issue. This time my transaction did not go through. After checking the transaction history it was listed as: "Missing Charges".
I tried twice more and got the same error message. Finally I called the help line and was told to delete my Pay Pal account and either add it again, or add another method of payment.
This time I added my bank debit card and tried to complete my order this way. Once again "Missing Charges" was listed in the Transaction History.
A few hours later I called the assistance line and this time I was told there was a "Security Block" on my account. Keep in mind at NO TIME was either one of my method of payments declined. This is a total joke. The 2nd representative said that this happens all the time to people, and recommended that I buy a PSN CARD off of Amazon. I have been using my Paypal account for years and I don't think it's right to have to buy a PSN card from a third party.
I downloaded the "Life is Strange Complete Season" but it isn't letting me play episode 2. I can't imagine the first episode alone is $19.99. Was really into it bummer if it's just episode 1.
Are they as prevalent as some make it seem? Are there influencers in crowds at E3 cheering louder to make it seem like people care more than they do? Are shills on these forums going against negative opinions to try to sway the general public into thinking something is good for gaming when it really isn't, such as those who strongly agree that we shouldn't have cross-play?

I had the OG PS4 for about 3 years, and I just recently got the PS4 gold slim, and since then, randomly while gaming my TV will cut to a blank light purple screen with no sound, before returning back to the PS4. Same TV as before, and the Xbox One S and cable box don't give off the same issue. Has anyone else had this problem? Is it worth returning the PS4 for?
so basically, my controller has desynced from my PS4. normally it should be a simple matter to connect it to the PS4 again, but not for me.
the main problem is that the micro USB port on my controller has been busted for awhile now. so i can't just plug it in and press the PS Button to get past the welcome screen.
i tried using a keyboard, and apparently the PS key is mapped to "Pause/Break", but when i press that key, it takes me to the quick menu where you can put turn off, restart, or put the PS4 to rest. doesn't really help me.
anyone have any ideas? it's frustrating because if i could just get past this screen, i'd be fine. anyone have any ideas, or am i boned? seems like my only moves are to get a new controller, or wait for the next time a friend can come over with a PS4 controller.
Battery life was getting bad, so I bought 3 2000 mah batteries from aliexpress. All 3 controllers were working after install, no issues. But they will not charge. They might light up for a minute or 2 when plugged into ps4 usb, but then stop. Tried charging on PC, nadda.
Tried the reset button, the holding share and ps button together trick, and out of desperation, the freezer. No dice. Worse part is I threw out the other 3 batteries.Doh! Any thoughts or am I boned? How can all 3 batteries be bad? Is there a connection inside I messed up?
With TLOU after playing about 2-3 hours and dying repeatedly in the sky scraper section, in frustration I just turned it off. Made some threads looking for help and it wasn't the game but me. I've been so conditioned to just run and gun and get from A to B to C as fast as you can. Once I got some great advice on the style of game TLOU was and I approached it differently TLOU blew me away with how fucking amazing it is.
With the Witcher III, im not concerned with anything other than exploring from town to town to town and whatever adventures ensues I'm ready. I am in no rush to finish a story... I just want to fully explore and take in this world.
Side note: I would fucking give somebody's first born for Naughty Dawg to make a open world game with the TLOU as the setting... holy shit.
Any assistance is well appreciated. I'm currently using my audioengine a2+ speakers, but I'm only using them by running an aux cable from my speakers to my controller. What's a more optimal way of using my external speakers, rather than just connecting to my controller?
I just purchased a PS4. I have a 1 TB Toshiba external hard drive that I use to save our videos. We have one year old twins and my wife LOVES taking video of them being adorable, so you can imagine there are a lot. They are mp4 files. I attempted to connect it and use the format wizard but it states it would delete all of the data on the drive, and I can't lose these videos. Is it possible for me to watch these on my system?
I currently use them by connecting them to my controller and been wandering if there some way to use them wirelessly.

I recently bought my PS4 and as excited as I was aware of the planning that I would have to do since my house runs on limited monthly data from Telus. So just yesterday my new monthly internet usage has just renewed and I decided to start is off smooth by gradually installing some games , I started with just getting Let It Die, I had plans to install segments of the game each day in order to prevent a huge spike in my data, yesterday I installed some of the game which was around 13 GB and that's around where my data was (a bit higher by 1-2 extra GB since I also did other things on my computer), but then today I decided to download a bit less, so I ran for 8 GB, (now the game is 21 GB done), I've also signed up for PS Plus, and PS Now, and decide to try a PSN game for probably no more then 15 minutes, but I was expecting my data to be around early 20s (or even 30 GB at most) but then it suddenly spikes up all the way to 43 GB, and I was extremely shocked, I don't know if this is some sort of bug by Telus, but even with all the stuff I did I couldn't possibly imagine myself using up to 43 GB, that is unless the PS4 size downloads aren't accurate, are they?
The first sound is a faint faint clicking noise which only can be hear while the fans are off so only in main menu. And the second one is a buzzing chirping noise coming from back of console, can be heard during boot and only when the fans aren't running so as you can read both the sounds are really quiet since you're only able to hear them while fans are off.

Currently I am trying to unscrew the back of my PS4 to clean the inside. I have got 3 screws out and one of them won't unscrew. Not sure if I pressed to hard on it and the little center of it got pushed in. How would I take it out.

I'm gonna buy one of these for Monster Hunter World and the Shadow of the Colossus remake when they come out. I have a PC for MHW but I don't want to wait for it to be ported and figured it was a good excuse to get into some console exclusives and such.
I know several of these kinds of threads exist, but I wanted more personal recommendations. For starters I'm not personally a big fan of first person shooters, MOBAs, and too many turn based games (I'm thinking of getting Persona 5 but if I play too many turn based games I get kinda burned out). I know I'd get Bloodborne and I've heard plenty of good things about Yakuza 0 and Horizon Zero Dawn, but I don't know about much else.
I am a big fan of exploration/cool worlds, fun or interesting gameplay, a feeling of some skill involved, and puzzle solving. Deep plot or good characters are also a plus for any game. I may add additional details if I feel they are very relevant, so I apologize in advance if I end up making this wall of text even longer.

So my brother bought Black ops 3 with the season pass. And the new zombie chronicles. Muched loved memories for both of us here. I dont own the game however and I know we can share the games with making each others consoles our primary ones.
What I want to know is if it is his game and I download it. Can we play together online? So I download all the dlc + the game, would I be able to go onto my own account and jojn him online to play them together using that one copy of the game?

So the game was on sale not that long ago and a post was made telling people to avoid it if they have the PS4 Slim. The thing was the link they used was for the .eu site and not the American one, and since I live in American and all that, I don't know if this issue also affects me and other US-based consumers, nor did I ever get an answer for it. It sounds silly but I also know that since power output is different in both countries, I don't know if that has anything to do with the issue at hand.
If it does affect all versions/regions, has any new info been obtained? Last I heard was in May with no answer being given.
If I bought the $10 deluxe version of Battlefield Hardline, and now I realize I want the $17 version, if I buy it will it discount the $10 I spent already and upgrade me? Or am I screwed?

I'm being bothered by an extremely loud PS4 and read some different cleaning tutorials in order to try and fix it. Unfortunately, the sound is still there. I was hoping someone around here could point me in the right direction to fix this?
I've got my PS4 for about 3 years. Since a couple of months it started getting really loud so I decided to open it up to clean it. I took out the power supply unit and cleaned it with some compressed air, I then used the compressed air to clean out the fan as well.
Since this didn't fix anything I figured it might be something else but I'm not too sure:

I downloaded the new 4.71 update, then hit install. It restarted and it's stuck in limbo with nothing coming up on the screen. The PS4 won't respond to the controllers, also I have the version where the power button is touch sensitive, so if I hold that down, nothing happens. What can I do at this point not to corrupt the new update?
Whenever I try to play the game in MP it freezes or gets stuck on the loading screen, even when I accept an invite or try to join a game with a friend.
Is this a common issue? Is there a fix? I would love to play the game.
So I was just watching Digital Foundry's latest video in which they analysed some 4K@30fps Spider-Man Gameplay which was shown at E3 and they mentioned (when discussing the resolution) something called "temporal injection" a rendering method which is discrete from Checkerboard rendering, anyway It looks incredibly sharp and it also looks like it is using some kind of Anti-Aliasing (probably not). But, my question is what Is Temporal Injection? How does it work?

Hello, I live in Monterrey, Mexico, one of the hottest cities in the country.
We currently have a temperature of 104ºF (40ºC), I obviously have my consoles unplugged and am not using them under these conditions since my AC does not work currently.
In a word: hell. I tried to look online for the answer to my question but I found nothing. So, is it safe for my console to be just sitting in my room with these kind of temperatures?

I was playing Minecraft 5 minutes ago and all day yesterday using my boyfriends ps plus (i do not have ps plus, but he does, and and now all of a sudden it does not work anymore. It says I must have ps plus. Just letting people know.

Recently grabed Uncharted Collection and U4. I'm finishing first game first but was curious about the MP in U4 and maaan it's awesome, something I was looking for. Smooth gameplay and super casual.
I've beaten every other boss easily on the first try. Now I'm at Rhydderch and all of my players are being killed in 2 turns, it's insane. I can't even get past the first part where he boss has his minions at the start of the fight. I've tried to use Stop, Blunt Bow, Stone Slash. Nothing is working..
I'm looking to upgrade the TV specifically for the OG PS4 and was looking between these Sony TVs: 40WE660 and 43WE750.
They are both 1080p and have HDR. Are they worth it? Is there a better choice for that size?

I just ran into a problem that I have never met before - all controllers and headset (PS4 gold HS) need to be charged and I don't have enough ports on the PS4. Is there an official or third party add on to the system that will give me more ports to work with?
Ok, so I bought a PS4 Slim on Cyber Monday for Christmas, and the day after Christmas I got Watch Dogs 2. I played through it, had fun with free roam and coop, then uninstalled it to make room for other games. Fast forward to recent weeks, it says I don't have the game, I would have to rebuy it. I tried using the live chat, but that was always either offline, or never got me through, so I finally called, and after a lengthy call, they pretty much said I'm SOL. I'm just here because I'm all out of options, what can I do now, if anything? I've restored licenses, scanned the drive, and nothing. For some reason I don't have an email receipt, but when I check the website, it shows the game there, and the only solid proof I have is 60% of the achievements. So again, what can I do?

So I have been on Xbox for quite a while (I'm sorry) and after constant let down I'm buying a PS4 from a friend and I'm really looking forward to playing my favorite game from my PS2 days, Shadow of the Collosus. I've only stayed with Xbox this long because if a group of friends I met and have known for almost as long as I've owned the console.
The reason I'm changing is because the new Xbox one x is full of power but who cares, there are no groundbreaking exclusives and I swear to God if I have to watch all of the Xbox fans lose their shit over Halo 6 or a new Gears of War or another Forza game I will cry. Xbox will run these titles into the ground meanwhile PS4 has the games everyone wants.
So I'm going to slowly transition to PS4 as my main console and I would love if you guys could recommend some great games to get along with the console that not alot of people know about. I'm really looking forward to enjoying gaming again instead of using my VCR from the 80s to watch Netflix and stare at Minecraft 4k advertisements on my dashboard all day. Also if there are any tips or things I should install to make my experience better when I get the console I'll be glad to hear them. I'm more than excited to finally own a PlayStation again, the last one I had was the indestructible silver PS2 and I wish I never bought an Xbox 360 afterwards!

Recently my PS4 has been doing this thing where at any moment it will stop letting me control it then it disconnects me from the server, Afterwards it proceeds to just stay on the home screen prompting me to shut it off and turn it back on. I could really use some help
So I started my ps4 after some months and saw that my psn id was logged out. I actually don't remember any details of my account so I can't sign in and also can't recover it which is why I made another psn account. But when I try to log in with it, it says that user can't sign in with another account. Does this mean I'll be never able to play online? Is there any way? Please help

It's such a perfect cyberpunky, grimy, yet upbeat synth soundtrack. One of the best of that kind of electronic sound since Furi's soundtrack IMO.
im thinking about buying an old pc and slowly upgrading it as a project of sorts, it probobaly won't be able to run many games out of the gate so I was wondering if pc remote play was any good.
Pretty much as title says. The guy posted it on Facebook as the disc drive not working and would sell it for the best price. I offered $50 and it was a deal. I opened the hard drive cover and saw this. I was planning on taking it apart and cleaning the dust on the inside but it seems I have some other cleaning to do now. How do I get all of this crap out and get it as clean as possible? This is my second PS4 so I'm trying to flip it for a profit.
I need to transfer some old save data to a new user, but my hard drive is incompatible with my PS4. So before buying a new USB stick I want to make sure that you actually can transfer save data between to different users with this method. Can anyone confirm this?

I've always been an Xbox gamer, but my buddies all got the gold PS4s that came out and I also just got my first big boy job after college, so I think it's about time to celebrate with a PS4 purchase. I've wanted one for SUCH a long time because I'm a die hard baseball fan, so I will be getting MLB The Show for sure. Other than that, though, I'm not sure what else to get. I was thinking of getting Horizon: Zero Dawn because that game looks beautiful, but beyond that, I'm not really sure.
What would y'all consider must own games for the PS4? Especially games that might be a bit cheaper at this point. I really appreciate any feedback. I'm super stoked to become a part of this community, and thank you to anyone who gives some recommendations!
EDIT: I've actually played The Last of Us, as I did own a PS3 back in the day.
FFXIV had some issues with the PS4 on the release of stormblood and the line "... we had Sony Interactive Entertainment perform a PlayStation®4 system software update on Jun. 22, 2017." Gives us a look into why the PS4 does these stability updates. Different games would release an update and not really work well on the current PS4 firmware. Just Sony never tells us any details...well FFXIV told us why :P

The reason I'm interested in doing this while still maintaining my account as primary is so my licenses don't have to be verified whenever I'm not connected to the internet and I can play my digital games offline.
These past few months have been very emotional, with those 4 games that I did back to back.... MGS V hit me very hard emotionally, and now I just don't know what to play. I need something really powerful, something that will draw me in just like those 4 games did. Something that will left me with a void inside when I'm done with it. Something that will make me crave another fix till the void comes again. Any recommendation?

The only way to eject a disc is to force a shutdown and then eject. Online services aren't available and the only way the console powers down is a forced shutdown.
This is my 2nd console in a 3 year span and I really don't want to invest in a 3rd PS4.
Basically title. Does the PS4 support things that turn 1 USB port into 2+. I have like 4 things that need a USB into the PS4 but it only has the two on front and the cables are too small to go from the back.
I left for my trip five days ago, I turned my ps4 off completely. I turned it on again today and it's really laggy in menus and games take a few more seconds to load. What do I do? I rebuilt my database 2 days before I left so it should be fine.
My playstation is a day 1 console and it's starting to wear down, it'll eject the disc at random and if I try to power something through the USB's it'll short out

i came across the Nacon Revolution controller. It's been a while i wanted to replace the DS4 and i found this one on sale so i started digging into the features.
It seems very nice but what actually stop me from buying it are these 2 questions : - is it possible to apply a long press on a macro? - can the touchpad button be used as input to make a macro?
i haven't find anywhere the right and precise answers.

Has anyone else experienced this lag? I like to browse through titles quickly by holding the analog stick to the right/left but now it will stop on its own and freeze for a couple seconds. I have to let go of the stick and wait until it frees up. This started happening after they introduced the autoplay trailers and it drives me crazy. The Netflix UI used to be so fast and simple, now it is clunky. Is this because of my internet (35 mbps down)? Is it trying to load the trailers as I scroll quickly? This is on a PS4 slim btw.
