Can I use a headset through my DS4 controller jack on PC?

If so, how? I plugged in my DS4 and it installed Windows basic drivers for it, but it can't seem to recognize anything in the headphone jack. Is there a special driver I need to install? I saw DS4Windows might let me, but their site is down and I can't find any safe mirrors.
