I have two pairs of AKG earbuds that came with my Galaxy S8.

One pair works fine with the dualshock ps4 controller, I can use the mic and hear gameplay.

the other pair however, which I just opened, will NOT work as a mic, I can only hear out of them.

Is there something I need to do to make the second pair work?? Why does only one pair of earbuds work as a mic if they are the same exact thing?? help
