Is Until Dawn a good game for someone who doesn't play video games?

I've been meaning to play Until Dawn for a while since it was free. I was thinking it might be fun for my girlfriend (who doesn't play video games at all) to try it. Am I correct in thinking until dawn is similar to a telltales game? Is this a good idea?
