Is there an option to disable L2/R2 for video streaming apps?

I'm wondering if there's a hidden feature that I don't know about. I know you can mess with the button inputs for the system as a whole, but can I disable them only for apps like netflix? It seems that any time I set the controller down any harder than gentle as fuck, the video skips to god knows where.
