Need To Replace PS4. Worth Getting Pro if No 4K TV?

My PS4 appears to be fried and I need to replace it. I don't have a 4K TV yet, but I'm probably getting one within a year. Should I go ahead and spend the extra $100 on the Pro? Will I see an FPS improvements on current games like Horizon: Zero Dawn and FFXIV on my crusty 1080P?
