I restarted AC4 in the Friday afternoon only to find that I couldn't run at full speed. So, I got upset, binged Riverdale(awesome show, by the way) and planned on buying a new controller next week.
But then I was cleaning today, when I found my screwdriver and decided to see what the problem was. I opened the controller and found that R2 was missing its spring. So, I took the one from L2 and put it where R2's should've been. Then I put the controller back together and booted the game up again and found that my fix worked.
Now, I know this isn't ideal and will most likely bite me in the back later in a game that heavily uses L2, but until then it works fine and I can always buy a new controller if it stops working properly.
