Are the PS4 menus slow for anyone else?

Navigating through he menus on PS4 is almost unbearably slow. Trying to download the PS+ free games, browsing the marketplace.. it's a chore. Is it just me? My Xbox One works fine so I'm not sure if it's my internet.
