Reboot sold about 8 million. Rise about 3 million.
"Shadow" will be the third instalment of the rebooted series - I'm sure the moneymen are breathing down the dev's necks - "This time make it everything the fans want and more! If this title doesn't get nominated for Game of the Year then we'll probably cut the budget in half or else we'll sell the IP to whichever company pays the most."
It's make or break time.
The movie is scheduled to be released March 16, 2018. I get the feeling it'll either bomb or just clear the budget.
In a way, I hope they sell the IP to a company that really sees the potential of endless puzzles, jumps, death-defying escapes... with a sassy confident Lara. You know, those very things that made TR great in the first place.
