Elite dangerous - can't beat advanced combat - feel like a noob haha

Hey guys -

No matter what I do - focus fire one target - make sure.im within 2km for my laser - make sure power is on weapons when attacking and system when being shot - I feel like the air just scoops behind me and fucks me up in 2 seconds.

Is there.aome kind of trick I am missing? Lol
