Hi, I just ordered the fidelio X2's. I've heard a lot of good about them. I'm wondering whether I need an amp or not when using the fidelio X2 on my ps4 or for example my android based galaxy s7? I haven't been able to find much information about the subject. Many people say that I need an amp but on the other hand I really don't se why. X2's are low impedance (30 ohm) and the DS4 controller can support up to 32 ohms. So is there really a reason to get an amp ? Has anyone tried to play ps4 with and without amp with the fidelio X2s ? Also what amp would be good if one is needed ? I've read a lot about astro a40 mixamp pro, but are there any good alternatives in the same price group ? Is mixamp pro any good ?
