How to verify if Touchpad Swipe is working?

Hey all.

Very excitedly I downloaded Until Dawn, eager to get into it. Started the tutorial and loving it. Only I get stuck during the Swipe to Turn on Flashlight portion of the tutorial. I tried my secondary controller. I uninstalled and reinstalled the game. Still cannot Swipe

Are there any other games (aside from Warframe) that utilize Swipe gestures that I can try for free? I did try Warframe but I believe the Swipe gesture isn't utilized until later in the game.

I know clicking the touchpad works as it's used in Overwatch and Shadow Complex. But nothing I have uses Swipe.

Is this a known issue or something? I doubt I have two bad controllers but it's possible.

EDIT: Thanks all. I tried Fast Forward watching a DVD and Swipe doesn't do anything. Damn.
