How to view how big a game update file is?

I haven't got enough space to download an update for a game. I want to know how much to delete as I play the games I have on there and don't want to delete unecessary stuff. Also I have a slow connection speed.

Ps4 says I have 40 gig free space. But I think that numbers wrong. Probably another issue entirely. Never had these problems on xbox.
