Just upgraded to a new hard drive, now I'm not appearing online

So I just installed a new 2TB Firecuda HD into my PS4. Everything went smoothly and I'm currently downloading a handful of my games.

Problem is, when I hold the PS button, 'Online Status' is greyed out and doesn't even show a menu when hovering on it. Also, I asked a friend of mine who is currently online if I'm showing as online and he said no.

Anyone have any idea as to what's going on? I'm downloading games just fine and I was able to successfully login to my account (verified by 2-step authentication) but I'm not showing as online at all.

EDIT: restarted my PS4 and I can change it to online now
