PS4 can't start up

I was trying to play some Overwatch but I noticed that the game wouldn't load up from the menu screen and my controller wasn't working, I couldn't open the PS menu or anything so I decided to turn it off using the button on the console. When I turned it back on a screen came up that told me to connect the controller with a usb cable and I did, but then it told me that I need to download an update file using a usb. The problem is that I don't own a computer or a usb so I have no way to install the update. I tried rebuilding the database but it only turned off and came back to the screen telling me to connect the controller. Could someone pls help? I'm just trying to play some Overwatch :(
