Rental from Redbox purchase from PS Store; will the save data transfer?

I rented Mass Effect Andromeda from Redbox and its currently on sale on the PlayStation store for $30. If I buy the game digitally, will my saved game data transfer from the rental title or will my PS4 think it's a different game and I'll have to start over?
