Trying to connect ps4 to an old tv via DVI

Hello,

I am trying to connect my ps4 to an old tv that has no HDMI ports, so I am trying to use an HDMI to DVI cable. This cable worked perfectly fine for the blu ray player that was plugged into it before. But when I try to connect the ps4, I get video but no audio.

I tried restarting the ps4 and the tv multuple times, and I tried unplugging and plugging back in both ends of the cable several times as well. I have confirmed that the tv speakers are on and I am using HDMI out for my audio.

Is the ps4 incompatable with this cable or something? I appreciate any insight on this situation.
