Controllers not charging off console

Hi everyone,

I have 2 controllers that are having a problem charging when plugged into the console. The yellow light comes on when they are plugged in, but disappears after a few seconds, and the controller doesnt charge. This happens whether the console is powered on or in rest mode.

I have ruled out the batteries in the controller being a problem as they charge completely fine if plugged into a wall outlet.

Any ideas what would cause this or how I can fix it? Thanks in advance.
