Game version becomes 1.00 after rebuilding database or updating system if it has an update.

So whenever a game has some update and I rebuild database or update the system, the game shows data corrupt error but it goes away after I update the game. This happens to all the games that has updates and prevents me from playing the game (currently it happened with Watch Dogs 2 which has 10gb update and I have slow internet so it will take time before i play it). Can anyone tell me why this is happening?
