My controller goes into standby mode at least once every 3 or 4 weeks, and the only way I know to get it out is to unplug the ps4. Is there another way?

Seriously, it goes into standby mode, and then I don't know what to do other than unplug the entire ps4 without even being able to shut it down properly because the controller is in standby mode. Is there any other way to break it out of standby mode?
