New controller won't connect to my PS4.

I bought a new controller from Target and when I got home I plugged the controller in a micro-USB cable (not the cable I got when I bought my PS4) and it won't charge or pair up!

If anyone knows the solution please feel free to comment it down below. Thank you.

SOLVED: I used a different cable.
