Now that we see how well and actively Overwatch is marketed, updated, and advertised for, why do companies keep sticking to losing formulas?

I know that back in the day, you couldn’t tell if a game would sell well or not, but nowadays there are some great examples, why don’t developers try harder to replicate this success? It’s right there in front of them. Overwatch.
