Should I ignore the Yakuza 0 dlc on first play through?

Just started on Yakuza 0 thanks to the glowing reviews here.

I’m enjoying it so far in chapter 2. I’ve just picked up the dlc from Bob at the shrine.

I’m wondering if this unbalances the early game too much in my favour and I should ignore it for the first play through?
