What are some fun Visual Novels to play?

As an anime fan I want to try playing some Visual Novels and I was wondering if anyone had any suggestions? I know Danganronpa are the most popular but does anyone have any suggestions for others? I'm thinking about buying the Zero escape ones and also Steins;Gate 0.

Also, do they ever have sales on these kinda games? If I can wait it out to get a little bit of discount I will.
