I've had the PS4 version of GTAV since it first came out and have played GTA Online a lot over the years.
However, since about a year ago I started having a very annoying rendering issue with my character's eyelids, making my character look like he was hit on the head with a barbed-wired bat in certain lighting. Take a look: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=CNz1IGsxYMg&ab_channel=Saint_JackieGaming
After much back-and-forth between Rockstar and I, (and trying almost everything from reinstalling to changing character and even account) we still haven't found out what is causing it. Time and time again for over a year Rockstar has promised to look into it, but couldn't keep their promise and ended up lying and finally admitting they don't have a clue what's causing it.
But then someone told me rendering issues could start if the disc is getting worn out. I have no idea if this could be true.
I checked my disc, but it still looks brand new (I take good care of my discs). I cleaned it with a special cloth just to be sure, but I'm still having the same problem.
Could my issue be disc-related or am I getting that desperate to solve this? If it could be the root of my problem, I assume the digital version should solve this? (It's on sale now on PSN)
Please, only helpful answers. No need to tell me to change my character or rebuild database. Been there, done all of that. The only two things I haven't tried is trying a new disc and digital.
I've heard from other people they face this problem as well, but then they stop answering me if I ask them if their copy is a disc or digital.
