How is the performance for Fallout 4 these days?

With the GoTY released I'm thinking of picking it up, but am having flash backs to New Vegas on the PS3. I heard the game had some issues at launch, but that was many patches ago. Are the load times, frame rates, etc acceptable? And most importantly, does the game perform worse the more hours you put into it?
