My fan has always been loud, but a couple weeks ago it got super loud and proceeded to turn off from overheating. I cleaned it and it got back to normal. A week after that it got super loud and proceeded to overheat again. I was dumbfounded. We cleaned it again and the fan stayed super loud but it wasn't overheating. I continued to play on it for a week.
And then one day it gets really loud, like a lawnmower starting up. 30 seconds after it started making these noises, the fan stops and the ps4 overheats a couple seconds after.
If I turn it on, the fan makes 3 clicks like it's trying to start up but it can't and proceeds to overheat.
So I've done everything and googled every single variation for "overheating PS4" and can't find a single solution.
I have taken everything apart, cleaned every single spec of dust in fan/heatsink/general ps4 internals and it still overheats.
I've replaced the fan and thermal paste. I have taken it to a repair shop and they couldn't help after leaving my ps4 with them for a week.
I have no idea what to do next. I am in no position to buy a new PS4.
Its the 500GB model and 2 years old.
