Remote Play connects for 1-3sec, then goes black

Hi, new to Reddit, formatting, blah blah

When I try to use Remote Play on any network other than the local network, it connects for about 3 seconds before going black and losing connection. I've tried other threads but their fixes don't work or all just "i have this problem too!". It might be helpful to mention the other networks I've tried are the two other University networks, so if somebody knows exactly what sites Remote Play connects to I can see if they're blocked.
