[Storage Question] External vs internal storage upgrade using SAS or SATA drive

First, if this post is in wrong place I'll move it. Just let me know

To the point:

Is it possible to connect a SAS or SATA drive externally to my ps4 with an adapter? I'm having trouble finding an adapter online. If not, I can just open the ps4 and connect a sata drive if it fits right?

If I only have access to PCIe, SATA, and SAS drives for cost saving. Is my best bet to open the thing?
