Audio changes on PS4?

I've recently noticed, especially when using headphones, that the audio bass levels have increased dramatically especially when using spotify. Has anyone else noticed this or am I going insane?

Listening to music on my PS4 is now borderline uncomfortable, does anyone have a solution to this? Thanks!
