I'm posting this here because most of you aren't assholes and I've gotten some positive interactions from this community.
We need to take action. We need to prove we are in fact a "community" and not just a collection of idiots that will suck up all of the nonsense publishers heap upon us.
They've gotten way too aggressive with the monitization of games this year and it needs to stop. We need to send a message.
I'm calling for anyone within this sub to not buy a single microtransaction/DLC/loot box this January. For exactly one month we buy nothing. If you have Star Wars Battlefront 2, Shadow of War, Forza or any of the other high profile releases. Come February, buy whatever you want but it will be interesting to see how your gaming experience changes without the extras. Can you still enjoy it?
Game companies need to understand that we want quality products not greedy tactics. If even 1,000 of you do this it will be a step in the right direction.
If you say no or it's too much trouble then know that you are very much part of the problem. Join us in a moment of solidarity for your fellow gamers and simply forgo abusive DLC/microtransaction practices for one month. Show them that we can't be pushed further than this. Because if you don't, it's already too late.
