God of War 3 still worth trying?

Hey, I'm someone who has never played a GOW game. The upcoming game looks really incredible and definetly something I'll keep my eye on in the future.

The PS4 version is discounted for 13 euros in the EU store. For some reason I couldn't buy Heavy Rain but already have purchased some wallet money. Would you recommend playing this game to a complete newcomer who has been spoiled with pretty graphics? Has the game aged well?

Also, what are the graphical improvements other than 60fps? Does it still look like a PS3 game or is it a worthy remaster?
