So I'll preface this by saying that I'm not a huge gamer anymore, and the majority of gaming that I do partake in is on PC. I've probably played less than 30 hours of Xbox One in the last two years and the extent of that gaming was CoD 4 remastered, and Zombies in Spaceland on Infinite Warfare. My Xbox one is basically a Netflix machine.
The last Sony system I had was a PS2, and one of my favourite series of all time is Ratchet and Clank. I made the switch to Xbox 360 after that and subsequently Xbox One. This is one of the reasons I want to trade, currently the PS4 has more exclusives that interest me in terms of console gaming. So my questions are as follows:
1) Is online still free? I know there is PS+ but what is the extent of it? Can I plug in Battlefield 1 a year after I last turned on the console and still jump into an online match?
2) How easy/relevant is backwards compatibility with PS3 games? Can I play the Ratchet and Clank library from the PS3 on it?
3) How well does the PS4 controller integrate with windows? I use my Xbox One controller for some PC games I have, and all I have to do is plug it in with the charge cable and it's ready to use.
4) Does PS4 require you to download over the internet and install all games, even if you own the disk like Xbox one does?
5) The trade would be for my Xbox with one controller and Cod Ghosts, Deadrising 3, Assassins Creed 4, NHL 15, BF4, Halo collection, and Infinite Warfare Legacy Edition for a PS4 with one controller, BF1, Final Fantasy, NBA 2K16, Blops 3, and Fallout 4. The only game in that collection I would play is Final Fantasy, the other games I own on PC and NBA I don't have interest in. Would this be a worthwhile trade?
The only new blockbuster game I see myself buying in the near future on console is RDR2, only because PC release is usually a year behind console. The PS4 will most likely become a primary netflix machine like my Xbox but with the added bonus of being able to play Ratchet and Clank and stuff.
