[Help!] Error CE 33986 9 - IP successful, Internet connection failed

Hi everyone, we’ve had this error before (I know because I searched for it).

I’ve seemingly tried everything...here’s the rundown:

Got home from work, booted up Ps4 to play Destiny 2, low and behold no connection.

Tested connection, IP is fine, but can’t connect to the internet.

PS4 is connected by ethernet to a router (that until today has been fine), my ISP is China Telecom (I live in China, PSN is Hong Kong)

I’ve tried:

• changing IP
• rebooting PS4
• rebooting router
• rebooting modem
• using Wi-Fi
• using a different PSN (a Mainland China one)
• changing DNS
• changing MTU
• DMZing
• completely resetting the PS4 (initialization...nope, didn’t work so now if and when I get this fixed I’ve gotta download all my games again)

Someone please have the answers I’m in search of, or point out something glaringly obvious that I’ve missed.
