I own Metal Gear:TPP on disc and just downloaded the free PS Plus version, but still requires the disc to play

Grabbed the digital version for convenience sake.

Guessing I'm going to have to delete the game then redownload it.

Is there a simpler way do this or am I missing something?

Seems very strange the game is already on the hard drive but have to redownload the entire game.
