I want to buy a new DS4. How can I tell if it’s the newer or older model prior to purchase?

I’d prefer the Newer model if I’m going to be paying the same price. I don’t want to make the mistake of buying the older model and then not being able to return it. I’d be getting it from target, I have some gift cards to use.
