PS4 can connect to internet through WiFi but not with an Ethernet cable

I would like to stress that I am at a University and have to use their internet. The university is a private christian school as well, so they have hell of shit on lock, I guess in hopes not to expose kids to 'evil'

Anyway, the NAT type is 3, so there are already some issues that I have to deal with when it come to reaching game servers. However, I just got the Ethernet port activated in my room and tried using it, but once I test the connection, it always fails connecting to the internet.

However, if I try and connect through WiFi, it can connect, but the performance is pretty shitty, so the Ethernet cable would help.

Is there any way I can get the Ethernet to work on a strict network? Thanks in advance!
