PS4 Forced Game Chat so impossible?

I loved the ps3 because every player was forced to go into game chat and it was loads of fun! PlayStation keeps on releasing these updates which is all nice n all but... Is it so impossible to do something about communicating in game while in a party? (And yes THERE'S a feature to change to game chat but then THEY'RE ALL IN A PARTY!)
