PS4 sound issues?

I picked up another PS4 and am using a headset that plugs directly in to my controller for sound. So far on GTAV and NBA2K17 the sound will randomly go in and out. It doesn't affect performance but it's annoying. Does anyone know what is causing this or how to fix it?
