Set up local multiplayer on 2 PS4's

Hi all,

At work we are busy creating a game room! We will get 2 PS4’s, plus Playseats, to battle it out against colleagues on coffee breaks.

Of course we would like to play against each other. We could connect both consoles through the Wi-Fi, but connecting them locally will provide a smoother gaming experience. However, on Google I do not find clear instructions how to connect them locally. Does anybody over here know how this is done?
