Thinking about coming back to Ps4

Couple of questions. Sold my ps4 about a year ago (kicking myself now) and built a very high end gaming PC.

Now I miss some of the sport games on the ps4. Is the pro really worth it? I don't really do 4k gaming on my PC (components can do it but monitor is garbage) but my 60inch sammy (ks8000) does 4k.

I hate the ps4 controller so I'd be looking at an aftermarket controller (nacon revolution) does it make sense with the money invested just to get an xbox one x based solely on the fact I like the controller better, mostly using it for sports games and maybe the odd exclusive (didn't really bother with them too much before).

Any opinions would help.
