Which is the best Assassins Creed on PS4?

I’ve only played the original AC which was, what, PS3?

I really enjoy the counter based combat found in AC, Batman, and Shadow is Mordor, and I was sad to hear it’s been axed for Origins.

Now the prices are lower for older and second hand games, I was thinking about picking up one of the current gen AC games while waiting to see if Origins is worth it.

Which of the PS4 era AC games is the best/would you recommend?
