Will I need to purchase prior?

I’ve not played any PlayStations up until now. I have no YouTube or google search. I most certainly can’t think for myself. Should I buy the ps 1-3 before buying a PlayStation 4? I’m not sure if Sony would exclude every person ever who hasn’t a PlayStation before so I want to buy the previous PlayStations so that I know their story.

Also would you recommend using the search feature? I can’t find anything on any games that have been out forever and I’m afraid I’m the only one who bought them. I would love your feedback. I can’t make any decisions by myself
