Starting this thread because I want to know others opinion in this matter. MGSV is my first contact with MGS. I'm pretty sure that many people finds V as one of the best games of this generation.
I started with Ground Zeroes, because game itself advices to start like that. And what happens ? No tutorial, no explanation. Just pure game. And I'm not talking about "how to shoot, how to run", I'm talking about crawling, rolling, using sniper rifle, basic tactics, how to get around in the interface, etc. Completely nothing. But I'm like.... ok. F*** this. I can easly check it on google.
Started. Tried to do some objectives and going for non-lethal way, and here is the first very frustrating thing. If I knock someone down, or stun him or whatever he will wake up after some time... I mean... WTF ?! First game I saw something like that. I guess it could pass as a normal feature in a a game if only stunned enemie after getting up would rise a hell of an alarm in the camp. But they are getting back to patrolling straight away. What's the point then ?
I quickly stopped going for non-lethal way, because that would only mean that every time I would be going back to find some collectible or sth else I would have to go through another "stun-fest". No point at all.
Second thing and the most irritating one is: HOW ON MOTHERS MERCY you can get those side ops ? I've only seen it in trophies. Tried to find any, but nothing. Then I started looking through google = nothing. I can only find topics how to do those mission. But how to get them ? Nothing. I even saw yt videos concerning them when the action was taking place during day, when I'm there it's night. I have found 9 XOF patches, which supposedly should give me additional mission. But nothing like that happens. I just find this game immensely confusing. Never have I played anything as frustrating as this game.
And here is my question ? Does anybody here feels the same about MGS V ? I know I'm just a mediocre player, but it shouldn't happen. even to me.
