Do sales get new discounts added on as time goes on?

Just recently started going digital after seeing how cheap some games land compared to the physical (here, anyways) and I'm just curious before I make some purchases for this sale; is it possible midway more games get discounted and what not? Or are all the discounted items final and nothing is added/removed during the sale? Thanks!
