Erased from existence?!

I have an old turtle Beach headset that I used to use for my Xbox that I now use for my PlayStation four. It was never a problem until today. This turtle Beach headset uses a 2 1/2 mm connection and I have an adapter that goes from 2 1/2 mm to 3 1/2 mm to fit the PlayStation four controller.

Today that adapter developed a short in it and my audio sounds terrible.

I began my journey to find a 2 1/2 mm to 3 1/2 mm adapter. Walmart doesn't sell one neither does Best Buy, it seems like the only place the order then would be online, and even then I can't find the right ones. I can find a generic 2 1/2 mm to 3 1/2 mm adapter, but my buddy said he purchased one of those and it did not work. I'm trying to find one specifically made by turtle beach or PlayStation and I cannot find them anymore. Did they quit making them altogether? It seems like my only option is to buy a new headset and I don't want to do that.
