Transferring Games Using Eternal Hard Drive

So my friend and I both have PS4 and he has the digital copy of Crash Bandicoot. I also have a Seagate external hard drive. Would I be able to plug my external hard drive into his PS4, download the game to the external hard drive, and then plug it into my PS4 and play it there on my account?

Not just for Crash Bandicoot specifically but any offline games like that such as ratchet and clank for example.
