Controller problems?

I bought one of the gold PS4s when they came out a couple months back, I've had no problem with the system, but just recently the controller that came with it started messing up. At first, it was blinking whenever I pressed the PS button like it couldn't assign (weird because I use it with only one PlayStation and I use it every day). Then I reset the controller and plugged it in to the console expect the problem to go away. But now its solid blue and looks like it should be working, but nothing happens when I pressed the PS button. Any suggestions?
